US: The Mandalorian

What an episode! I enjoyed absolutely every single second of it... it's genuinely gotten me excited for Star Wars again and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

Did anybody else find that cyborg general grievous look alike seriously creepy.

Especially when he started to drain mandos blood.

I was hoping bo katan and Mando were going to have a conversation about it afterwards to hopefully reveal something about it but nothing. I was disappointed.

Yeah i was the same. At first i thought it was a mutated Geonosian as i thought that it could have just replaced some of its parts with droid parts like Grievous and i could have sworn i saw some mechanical wings but nothing was really said about it but Bo-Katan mentioned the other species that was made up for the show.

I'm clearly meant to recognise the thing at the end but I don't . All the animated star wars I watched too long ago -_-

Episode 1 was a bit rubbish. The pirates were silly and the whole "i must have this particular robot for....reasons" was totally convoluted.

Episode 2 was great though.

Bo Katan just always sitting on her own on that throne made me laugh though. Is that all she does? :D
:p

Creepy mecha-bug was ace.

I must say, it’s always classy to have something really detailed and intriguing… but then not over use it. Part of me lusts for more, but it adds this sense of scope, intrigue and world building in a way that’s better than them explaining everything.

Good stuff. Agree with Mando being a bit silly though. His conversations with Grogu remind me of John and Garfield… specifically those ‘silent Garfield’ comics where they’ve edited out Garfield’s thoughts…

The whole ‘find a droid’ story line is silly, especially when 30 seconds later you see that he can pressurise his helmet, and he sends the droid into a cave, but then does a toxin reading outside…

Yes, that whole plot line was immensely convoluted and bizarre. I think it was just a way to get him visiting the crazy mechanic lady/give some screen time to the jawas. It was done in a very ham fisted way though.

And it also HAD to be IG-11 at one point, but then takes the first rust bucket offered to him.

Not sure how IG was even fitting into his ship, but I try not to think about these things.

She wields the Darksaber way better than Din does

That’s kind of the point. Explained in Rebels and I’m sure elsewhere including previously in the mandalorian.

I have really enjoyed the mandalorian, the only thing that puts me off is the fact they have used the **** Luke Skywalker we got in the sequel trilogy. I was hoping they would just scrap them and go a different direction...

We just know in this star wars universe we are never going to get to see anything of the greatest jedi that ever lived and the saviour of the force, the way he was meant to be seen.
