The free postage is second-class. My first lot turned up about five days later. My second order about three.

Thanks Sniffy, I'll give 'em a go.

Bit of a revelation tonight for me, after doing a little touch up on my neck area when i had finished shaving last time round i decided to give just water and my shavette a try on my soft neck area around the adams apple and to each side of it... success, no irritation with a close against the grain shave with no spotting at all so im very pleased and surprised.

I must state that the rest of my shave was done using palm olive as per and i finished with my best shave to date :D

Just to add, will be ordering my merkur slant Friday as a gift from the missus for my Bday, happy days :):)

I've put in my order on the 6th to Creightons and heard nothing from them, not even an email confirmation etc.

I had an email back from them saying they hadn't received my order, so I guess the same thing may have happened to you guys. They then retrieved it via the receipt code and promptly sent it out to me first class.

If this creightons stuff is so good, why is it stocked in poundland?

I was going to order until I found out pound shops are full of it. May still order if I am convinced and it works out cheaper than said stores.

A lot of people rave about the Palmolive stuff and that is super cheap. It's what suits you best isn't it? I'm waiting on my Creightons stuff to be sent by my GF to me, then I can judge for myself if it's good for me.

UFO spotted!

Avery nice handle, slightly longer than my Weber Bulldog

I had exactly the same handle delivered today!

My shave was poor, it felt OK but I have stubble when I wouldn't expect it. I think the weight of the handle meant the touch of the head on my face was so light that I just missed bits. It'll take a while to get used to it. It's a fantastic looking and feeling handle though.

Yeah it will take some getting used to, my Weber Bulldog was the same when i got it last year, the Weber is 68gr and slightly shorter.

I just need to decide which head to use on it tonight.

It now lives in my favourites box (box will be re-furnished shortly)

Well I gave my first ever DE shave last night, and survived.

Using a Muhle R89 and Personna Razor Blades to start with.

Also just now I still need to get a brush and some cream as I used Gillette gel last night(i know!)

Anyway - couple of quick questions - how many times do you use a blade before changing?

Also any pointers on a good brush and cream to start with?

My 1st DE was a Muhle R89, love it with the Gilette 7 O'Clock Sharpedges, as for brush I got a Kent BLK02 and I do love the Proraso Ultra Sensative Cream.

Check TK Maxx if you get the chance as I got a cheap Kent bristle brush (not as good as Badger hair but a good starting point) and some Peckersniffs soap (got both for about 12 quid).
