The Marvels

I see after The Marvel's disaster, Bob Iger's gone back to blaming the customers again...

Doubling down on the DEI too, so it sounds like the M-SHE-U phase 5 could be an extinction event!

People don't want your Feminist Cosplay Cultural Dystopia Bobby.

;)

Poor Scarlett suffered from being insanley popular though. Can't have that.
Isnt that the point of Disney, hypocrisy at its best. Scarlet was massive popular as they cast her for her sexual appeal and put her in insanely sexualise constumes and doing scenes to overtly sexualise her physical features. Then diminish her pay package and deny her a fair remuneration.

I mean honestly why do they even bother to lecture the masses when they are clearly culprits…

Btw nothing wrong with sexualising your actor/actress for a quick buck - it’s an age old winning formula - just look how popular Megan fox and transformer got with some pretty shocking acting and flat story line. Just don’t prevent you didn’t mean it that’s all.

So is that Bob now done a 540 or even a 720? I'm getting dizzy.

Anyone watched this film? Is it entertaining?
I've seen it, I liked it and thought it entertaining.

This film seems to be suffering from pointy elbows, fun to slate it when it truth its not a bad film but the bad vibe is building against it with what is becoming genuine glee in the damage being done to it.

Saw it tonight. I thought it was good but could have been great. I enjoyed it more than Thor 4 or Ant Man. Kamala was great in every scene pretty much and I'm glad they got a lot of her family in. The character interactions throughout were very well done and funny
Kamala recruiting Kate Bishop was hilarious :D
The fight scenes were pretty well done, the swapping was very effective. I thought the CGI was pretty quality throughout tbh. Fleurkins great too.

Spoiler related negatives:
The bad guy was very under developed and the film suffered a little from having to have quite so much 'previously on' to catch people up. I think that much like Thor it suffered tonally from not focussing on the tragic or the comic but trying to do both. I think if they'd cut out the singing planet (because that bit was pretty terrible) and focussed more on Carol's mistake and how it couldn't just be solved with power it could have been a 8/8.5 out 10.

I saw it tonight too in a fairly large screen with just 7 other people.

6/10 from me, probably won't ever watch it again. Iman Vellani was the best thing in it, but it didn't make me laugh, at all :(.

'Aladna' was definitely the low point of the movie. GOTG has introduced weird **** like that before, but it didn't work at all for me in this.
Someone clearly wanted to get some singing and dancing in to the movie.

Phase 5 has really ruined Nick Fury as a character IMO (mainly down to Secret war) but he wasn't much better in this either. He doesn't seem to have much drive anymore.

Last but not least, the action sequences were fairly unique with the teleporting. Can't say I had a massive issue following what was happening there like some people had said.

I think Fury was fine in both this and Secret Invasion, the problem was that the two teams clearly didn't talk because he was very different in both. Invasion portrayed a Fury who was getting on and suffering from the weight of the responsibilities he'd taken on and then in this he was all sprightly and back in 'Avengers' form. Just a lack of overall coherency which is disappointing as they've usually been pretty good at that.

Neutered is the word you're looking for.

He's basically been reduced to the level of just superior to "Beta man-bun PA number 3".

:D

Angry Joe Review, and he's definitely not from the Friday Night Tights part of the spectrum.

Zawe Ashton has fallen a long way from Fresh Meat to The Marvels!

That's because it wasn't Fury it was a Skrull. Maybe.
