Yeap, its under-performing even the lower end predictions now - International, which I thought would help out, has died on its backside too i.e. South Korea has 1400+ screens but made <$3.5m or about $2,500 per screen or just 166 people per week at $15 a ticket :eek:

Why 800 to break even? 250m production…

Admittedly, it is the first marvel studios film that will likely to make a loss.

They didn’t go super hard on the marketing because they knew it sucked balls.

So probably 350 all in.

They lost big style in this once Theatre’s and distributors have their cut.
 
250m is very conservative. There's at least another 50m for reshoots, then another 100m for marketing. So that's 400m.

Bear in mind that the box office figures are not what Disney will be receiving. Cinemas take roughly half of that. So about 800m to break even. And companies don't invest this sort of money just to break even.
