* The Metal Thread *

This track is the Wolfs Gnashers! I can't believe I haven't picked up on this lot before, will be checking out their back catalogue for sure. Not strictly Metal but that guitar sound is heavy enough for this thread I reckon.

Thank you for opening my eyes to this band. I've now been listening to their stuff for the last 2 weeks. They're great! (In best Tony the Tiger impersonation :D)

Not sure if this has been covered in this thread, but I recently purchased Pendulum's latest album and they've done a song with In Flames. To say it's good is an understatement IMO -

Saw Despised Icon last night, part of their final European tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, pretty good gig!
pit was kinda rough but kinda expected. Put on a damn good show and I got me a sweet DI t-shirt :D

Been listening to The Acacia Strains new album, pretty good imo

I don't understand how people call Pendulum metal - it actually annoys me.

We had to endure an hour of that crap so we could get near the front for maiden. It was worth it but still.

It was funny seeing the people who were really into them, then seeing the people who obviously thought pendulum just shouldn't have been there.

I haven't called Pendulum metal? IMO, they're far from it. However, I'd say this track fits into the category courtesy of In Flames.

having seen pendulum twice (the first at download last year, the second at sonisphere this year) theyr far from metal, infact theyr dubstep or drum n base depending who your asking but that doesnt stop em being a fantastic band who have managed to cross genres very well.

PS: How awesome were maiden :D

Just bought me some tickets for Bullet, Bring me the horizon and Atreyu at Cardiff December 11th :D Not a huge BMTH fan but the rest of it should be good :)

Hey all, bit random
But is anybody going to the Korn/Rise to remain Concert in October me and a few friends are going there on the 9th then Sabaton/Alestorm on the 15th, and Arch enemy in november sometime.
Just pondering if anybody else is going.

Hi all.

Just been looking on the net for some new music, bands, etc, and came across Mutiny Within. Currently listening to them on Spotify. These may satisfy some people who like heavy music, but with singing. I know I can cope with some screaming, but not too much, but here is the video if you'd like to check them out.

Like I say, they're on Spotify if you want to hear more from them. But so far, excellent imo, some awesome guitar riffs and solo's! :)

Hi guys great thread, I've discovered a few bands from reading (well listening) through. I'm quite picky with music though, there are a lot of bands in here I don't like too :p

My contribution (can't remember if it's been posted) Amazing song, prefer it to the original:

I find that Meshuggah are in their own league, nothing else quite like them out there. My favourite band.

After listening to only Meshuggah the last few days I find everything else seems "bad", in a way, in comparison.

Anyone else the feel the same?

I don't like them, a lot of their songs just sound so random.

That song sounded terrible. :o I actually quite liked one of their older albums though.

Edit: I am liking Behemoth a lot lately.
