I'd buy both :)

Just purchased this laptop, Hopefuly it will be with me tomorrow. Also just about to purchase a SSD to go with this, should be niceeeeeee.

Total cost with next day delivery: £1353 (Due to a coupon) - Ooooo I'm excited now :) - Will post a nice little review once I've had a play

Nope, friend ordered it 3 weeks ago, its still overdue on stock, you guys should have probably checked that before ordering next day. (If you got it from here that is)

I paid £1350 and have £17 cash back coming via Quidco so technically I take the lead!

Mind you, the place I've ordered from think it's a 15.6". I had to visit two branches and e-mail customer services to verify it's actually 17.3" and comes with 3D glasses.

I wouldn't normally order from a company that don't know what they're selling me but it's the cheapest price I've found and they have plenty of places to return it if I run into problems.

Yes, same here, was told it was 15.6" ( or rather thats what the specs are on the website - even now.

I get £50 Cashback, but got to spend over £200 next year between 16/2/12-29/2/12

No, I won't be updating it yet. Maybe BIOS and/or drivers. I'll think about SSD in the New Year.

Everything arrived, Just need to figure out how to install the SSD, while keeping the express cache installed and getting windows + recovery partition etc. I noticed when windows installed, it ran some kind of DOS application to register the Express Cache...

Never mind. Was easy enough, I just never opened up the manual etc, there was an installation disc and software disc, so whipped in the SSD, just put windows on, updated etc etc... Going to start putting programs on now.

BTW. Swapping the hard drives about is really awkard work with the rubber they put around them.

Let us know what the gaming is like mate.

Copied over BF3, went online and played @ 1080p... All settings was high and was giving me an average of 30-40fps... But that was with Anti Aliasing off, Put this up to 2x or 4x and you get below 30fps (looking around 20fps) - but appart from that the gameplay was smooth.... Got so much to do, copy over all the data from old laptop, install everyting etc etc...

Just a heads up, Don't know if anybody else has had this issue, But I put my iPhone 4S into a USB3 socket, turned on Personal Hotspot and got a BSOD. For some reason after, I got an inaccessible boot drive. I've formatted (which has took a long time) as I had everything setup as I like. I've tried again and still get the BSOD, but no inacessible boot drive this time. Works fine in a normal USB2 socket. I know USB3 is supposed to be USB2 backwards compatible but hmm... Maybe I will have to try and find a more upgraded version of this driver.

Hi there

i can confirm there is a problem with USB-3/Iphone, and BSOD on my Samsung as well, I tried to duplicate your problem by connecting to wi-fi whilst the phone was connected up, and it It BSOD. Also I get BSOD when resuming from sleep mode when the phone is PLUGGED in (Iphone 3Gs) I've updated the USB ports in device manger, but they seem "already-updated.

Sorry to hear about your Hd failure etc, not had any of that. Not tried USB 2.0 yet, but will do in a moment.

Tried USB 2.0 and no problem here with iphone/sleep mode etc.. Also put a 32GIG USB stick in 3.0 slots, and seems fine when inserting, resuming from sleep etc. So its a iphone/USB 3.0 prob it seems. Just plug it in USB 2.0 - for now??? i would:) Also, i backed my Data (250 gigs and a weeks work plus soime) (Windows 7 back-up). best to back up mate if you can

Could any of you guys tell me how quiet/noisy the latop is when doing light stuff like surfing the net and when doing semi demanding tasks like encoding video. Recently bought and sent back a Dell XPS15 due to the annoying fans. Any info greatly appreciated.

My plan was to backup when I got home as I had the software I needed there but was a bit to late. I'd spent the afternoon on the thing and was rushing about at night, connected the wrong HDD to computer clicked format and formatted data on there too. Was annoyed but I had a backup from thursday of all the data I'd put on here originally. All back up and running, norton ghost installed, backup to external HDD + works RAID server so hopefully I'll be ok for a while.

Just a note I do have an SSD installed. I've disabled Write Caching cause I have a feeling that was why it made my boot drive inacessible, as I think it corrupted some files.

Appart from all that, Really enjoying this laptop so far!

Just for the heads up, overclockers never had this in stock, neither was it for sale at all, it never happened. Other places (including were i got it from) are OOS now too. Best get it when its going:)

Superb laptop though, it does everything, games (even the latest) play loverly. Love to have a go at 3D games though, like flatout 2, Crysis etc. Some games load up in "DX9" as DX11's not supported in all of them. its good this way though, because you get much better frames in DX9, and in 3D mode, it looks so different that you can't tell from DX11/DX9.
