BUILD LOG LINK IN SIG :D

Can you please tell me what water cooling componants you are using, & post a clearer picture of the layout of the reservoir pump etc.
Many thanks.

Meh, I must be the only person nowadays trying to overclock on air. I got red fans in preperation for the Rampage III Extreme:

I still have blue cathodes on the top exterior of the case, but the contrast between them and the top red fan is nice.

I also have 2 more red fans waiting for a pair of Prolimatech MK-13s :) (Will be using them with a quad fan setup, with the current bracket + intake fan).

I know, I forgot to add the :p

These coolermaster LED fans are awesomely silent, you can just stick your case full of them and they are still inaudible.

I just have 8 blue ones left over to get rid of (had 3 thermaltakes from my previous case, and 5 coolermasters in the current one).

The Prolimatech MK-13s are triple slot and expensive though, but they should work on all future graphics cards as well. Finding a new mobo to accomodate them with a soundcard in the future will be hard, but it will actually dissuade me from buying new motherboards until the next capable one is out (I want 2x 16x PCI-E with triple slot spacing, and space for a soundcard).

The difficult part will be trying to get rid of my collection of 2 Thermaltake S Orbs, and 2 Zalman VF950s. Those are difficult to sell.

This is my first go at doing something remotely tidy - i7 with 5850 and intel SSD 80GB , setup is super quiet thanks to Arctic Cooling PWM PST chain.

Had the window on the Fortress FT02 fitted on the inside with some socket head caps.

Got 3 windows made up with it as well so i can swap them over - clear, black tint, and frosted.

That looks a lot better must do mine sometime wonder why they never made the window like that in the 1st place.

Lol that case must be like a light show with those fans, although they look more pink than red in those pics. I'm looking to get some good blue fans for my pc, what are a good make?

It's a Q9550 system with a H50 cooler and crappy 8800 GTS 640. Got the rad and push/pull fans zip tied into the drive bay area with an additional Lian Li Fan bay and Akasa Apache inside it. Other fans are Enermax Clusters.

Yes is could be tidier and it is a little dusty despite the filters. I have a skin condition that means I'm alwas going to be against the dust anyway but I clean it the best I can. I'm hoping to get a 5870 at some point so will tidy some wires then methinks.

Hey, do you know how much room you would have with a 5870 in this case? thanks

Not a right lot to be honest. I'm pretty sure it'll fit so long as the power connectors are on the side of the card which I think they all are bar the newer revision of the Sapphire VapourX but this is shorter anyway.

I very much doubt you could get two in XFire as the HDD cage sticks out 5mm or so.

Ok thanks, if I was using this case it would be for a low performance build but I could always lose the front fan and set the HDD cages further forward. Do you have a build log for this system?
thanks

just built myself a new machine as a stopgap untill i upgrade my main rig when the new 6 core cpu's become available, due to a hard drive failing in my main rig i thought i might as well just build this for just now and as a spare machine once i get the new build done rather than reinstalling everything back onto a machine will will only be used a couple of months tops.
so here is my new backup rig -

coolermaster elite 330 - great case for the money and i would still take it anyday over the antec 300
antec basiq power 430
phenom 2 x2 550be unlocked to a quad
Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 (i still have no idea why they put the front panel audio connector at the back above the gfx card :()
2 gb geil ddr2 800
xfx radeon 4770
2 x 160gb seagate's in raid 0
zalman cnps 8700-led cooler (idles about 27oC and gets to 50oC after a while in prime) fantastic cooler for only £12 of ocuk

much faster than i expected it would be and will keep me going nicely till i get the main rig built :)
