The New Cases Gallery

I have honestly never seen quite so much hardware packed into a 300. Good show!

Tip though, if you suspend the HDDs in the empty optical bays, you can remove the HDD bays all together, which makes a MASSIVE difference to the space inside.

See the difference with mine for yourself! :P

In your "case" though, it might prove a bit futile.... Might be better just to upgrade the case. :P

It's dead easy to do though, just need to drill a few rivets and chisel off a few more, then they pop out nice and easy. Thoughtful design by Antec really. :P

I like what you've done. That pic with the EVGA cards is not mine, I found it while trying to provide backup on the point of squeezing in 3 cards:D

I'm looking to replace that 300 with a older 900 ;)

Ah, well my 5830 uses the same form and cooler as a 5870, so you should be able to fit 3 5870s in one provided they're double slot only. :P

Correct. I had an old 300w PSU with a fan that was as loud as a drill. (Not being theatrical, it actually was. :p). So I stipped the innards, chopped a hole in the back and it just sits next to the Corsair PSU.

The SATA cables route behind the motherboard and through the little hole in the lid, and the graphics card cables come out of the hole that the original PSU cables came out of.

Works really well IMO. Apart from with my new motherboard, the SATA ports are on the edge, so they don't go through the hole any more, and all the case switch cables are too short to reach the new board behind the motherboard tray, so they're hanging out too. :(

I don't really care any more though, I've done my cable management once, as long as they're out the way of the air flow now I couldn't care less. :P

lol, i have opend up a old psu been out the back and sprayd it black since my last post, I think the new haf x has sumthing like this stock, but hope it will look good on my 932. Thanks for the ideas ><D

It isn't, it just sits in the case. The cables stop it moving much though as they're pretty tightly coiled.

It does have to sit on a piece of old camping sleeping mat though to raise it so the top is level with the proper PSU.
