Yeah fair point, although there's absolutely no chance of parliament approving it though
Sorry to be ignorant here but these are private companies. What right do the government have to get involved?

Close. It's Dunkin donuts.Text in will be sponsored by KFC
The beauty of THIS game, is that you can win it all, lose it all, then come back from the brink and win it again. It's euphoric when experienced. Making it a closed shop destroys this simple beauty and sanitises it to a business transaction - none of it will matter if you can't lose. Losing is just as important as the winning.
plenty, just like they can with uber, google, amazon et al when they choose toSorry to be ignorant here but these are private companies. What right do the government have to get involved?
Theoretically, parliament can pass whatever law it wants with over a 50% majoritySorry to be ignorant here but these are private companies. What right do the government have to get involved?
fixed that for youWithout money you can't do anything though, most League One sides don't have the finances to compete in the Championship so they go straight back down.. the only way to really succeed is to get asugar daddybloodsucking rich parasite leech of an owner.

possibly, and if Amazon already have the rights then definitely, but so far it's investment banks like JP Morgan who are being reported as key enablers/financiers etc.Sky will do everything they can to push against this as they probably can’t afford the rights. Guarantee you Bezos is involved somewhere.

Yeah, and they’re getting a lovely big share of that financing from Amazon.possibly, and if Amazon already have the rights then definitely, but so far it's investment banks like JP Morgan who are being reported as key enablers/financiers etc.
Against a private company? The repercussions would be enormous. They will stay well clear.
They can totally do so. That they're too cowardly to is a different matter. Private companies are not above the law.
To the uninitiated, this seems a little like the formation of the Premier League, only it obviously affects all of Europe rather than just England - why are people more upset about this?
Also a genuine question - but why are the government talking about banning such a move? What have they got to do with private business, other than ensuring things aren't a monopoly? If - as some have mooted - a franchise system like the NFL comes to fruition, thats surely the decision of the business, isn't it?
Sky will do everything they can to push against this as they probably can’t afford the rights. Guarantee you Bezos is involved somewhere.
And this new 'competition' solves that how?
This is a moment where the the toys should well and truly come flying out the pram from anyone that truly cares about the game. Burn it to the ground, do not let these parasites steal the game from the people, communities and legends that have made it what it is.
Yes of course they will, which is why I said theoretically. There's no chance they'd do that.Against a private company? The repercussions would be enormous. They will stay well clear.

read back I've already explained my thoughts twice, I cba repeating it a third time.Ok....so you're saying they could pass a law that means what exactly? Break it down for me...private companies...51% owned by who?
I agreeThey will stay well clear because they have no grounds to get involved.
