I wanted a wide angle lens for a bit now, living in the lake district made sense!
14-24 is too much for what I wanted so this seemed the obvious choice!
Stood next to the 24-70 not much in it but a lot lighter!

Aye, it's a lovely piece of kit! Haven't put it through its paces yet though due to the weather or lack of time, hopefully this weekend might be a good time.

Similar to a pocketwizard?
I can't imagine then not working with manual flashes, you just won't get TTL of course.
I'm tempted by the 622 set but the RF-603 kit is still going strong.

So these are like pocketwizards? planning to get a 600ex flash and either a pair of pocketwizards so i can manullay trigger the 600ex and my old 430ex2

Where did you get the 16-35mm from? Everywhere I looked it's 'Out of Stock'!!!
After a couple of years out of photography, and living in an area with so much inspiration (lake district), i thought i'd take the opportunity to get back into photography, and get myself a new Canon 60D, prices have come right down with the 70D due out, i got mine for £629 with the 18-55isII.
Currently on the look out for either a Sigma 10-20 or a Canon 24-105L for my next purchase, they were my 2 favourite lenses when i had my 50D and i must own them again
