The "New Gear/Willy Waving" thread

Something to accompany my DSLR, it's so small it easily fits in my backpack with all my other gear. I wanted a drone when I was in Iceland last year but couldn't carry the Phantom and my Camera gear.

You'll love it! Took some shots of a friends Mavic a few weeks ago:

I'd like one too but I have enough expensive hobbies!

Gotta say i'm enjoying your 365 day challenge Raymond!!!

I'm road testing it tomorrow so will get a good idea after 8 hours at an expo.

Quality of it is superb, everything seems well machined, aluminium levers, anchors clicks into place , cord has indicators when it starts to wear (although it can take 90kg apparently) you also get 4 should any wear out over time. Seatbelt material for strap is a clever idea (and super strong / durable) is comfy and doesn't seem to rub anywhere when walking around the house. It's really easy to adjust and you can wear in various ways, plate that secures strap under camera is well made (allen key provided for tightening), also doubles up as a tripod mount. So far I'm impressed.

ANy good? I keep looking at these but never quite push buy.

I bought one years ago, actually backed it on Kickstarter, that's how i got it....still in the box.

I look at the loop to the camera and just seems really thin! For mirrorless I would say its fine but for a DSLR with a big glass, 18 hour days sometimes, I just don't know.

I always use a sliding strap now, could never go back to a neck strap.

I may have to use it because I can't find any new fabric ones that I like. I have 1 leather one left which is good so the Peak strap is the only one left unless I go research something else.

Saving for one myself.

Might be an odd question but what's the silent shutter mode like?

Err....its not silent, like mirrorless but it is quieter. The shutter in general is quieter than the mk3 as well.

Have been using the touch screen to shoot today for lots of overhead shots, and touch screen to shoot is also weirdly amazing and very accurate with the dual pixel focus.
