Any one have a Sony a7r IV and use a sony 200-600 ?

Looking at the extra pixels for birds etc and require the quiet shutter sound and good video, currently have the d850 with 150-600c and a couple of other lenses.

Me :) No problem with the 200-600 on it either. I previously used a D850 with the 150-600C a few years back. Great combination of the former over the D850. There were a number of users here who had the A7R IV . But I believe Greebo went on to pair it with the A1 (if memory serves me correctly.)

Thanks I find the d850 to be hit or miss with the iso grain, sometimes its brilliant or it is easily brought back via topaz, others it's horrendous and topaz can't do jack with them this is around iso 1000.

Think I'll bite the bullet and send the lenses and camera of and get the a7rIV and 200-600 combo

Was tempted by the canon r5 but bugger all lense choices especially long ones which is a shame.

Strange as the D850 sensor is easily on par with the A7R4 sensor. I've shot a lot at ISO 3200/4000 on the A7R4 and they clean up nicely. I prefer Nik Collection to Topaz (often not great around subject edges) even though Nik means a little more work in PS afterwards.

I would never use iso 4000 and I am very reluctant to go above iso 2000 especially for bif and aircraft especially, as the grains stand out soo much on grey at even 1600!

Well pulled the trigger on a R5 plus adapter with a Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM Lens from panamo, hopefully around Easter I'll look into getting my birding lens.

Fingers crossed the shipping is faster than waiting for shops to get stock in!

I ordered mine on a Sunday evening and it was delivered the following Thursday via UPS so i was very happy with that.

I also ordered the 24-105 from PhotoSpecialist on Monday morning and it came today via UPS, even though it shipped from NL.

Got given a Nikon D3200 , needed a lens so ended up with this.
