Quick question though just to clarify apart from Spec and Size are the new MB and MBP essentially identical?

Before watching that I was content with my old MBP, but even now I still can't afford a new one! Before watching that I was content with my old MBP now I want a new one
Firewire is missing on the macbook I think![]()
Two questions of my own:
Has anyone got a good case/bag/sock that fits the new Macbook?
And more importantly right now, how the buggery do I stop my ATV remote messing with the MacBook ?
HDMI would add hardly anything, especially considering the premium they've added onto it.But then they'd have to integrate HDMI into the laptop as well, which would add even more to costs.
The MacBook is supposed to be the cheapest laptop they offer and it would be so much more expensive with blu-ray, HDMI etc.
With regards to firewire, this will continue to annoy me - not only for those who use video cameras but what about us with external sound cards? I'll stick to my iMac and my old MacBook thank you!
Sort of, except where's the sound going?Quick question, if I buy the display-port to VGA cable to hook my MBP up to my HDTV, will this enable me to use my MBP/iTunes as a sort of media center to playback TV shows / movies etc you can buy on iTunes?
Loving mine more and more. It's the first Apple laptop I've had, and even the magsafe power whatsit seems like a bloody good idea. Trying to find an excuse to take it to work now !![]()
I'm going to be getting a new MacBook/Pro in the next week or so. But I can't decide if the MacBook Pro 2.53GHz is worth the extra money over the MacBook 2.4GHz.
I will be using the HE discount and putting 4GB of RAM in each, and a DisplayPort adpater. Just really not sure which to get. I'm looking for portability and powerful performance really.
What do you guys think between the two? Which would be more practical? I'm studying Comp. Sci. if that makes a difference. Cheers
Update - Brother got it exchanged for the new one the next dayDamn bought a black macbook 16 days ago, is it worth asking for an exchange?![]()
Can OS X actually take advantage of 4GB RAM? i.e is it 64-bit?
From reading the Gizmodo review it looks like if you need graphics performance then you have to go for the Pro. Both are going to be quick machines with 4GB of RAM. The extra GPU in the Pro is the only factor making a big difference.
