What happens if you have Internet APN set but no MMS APN set? Does it just eat into your data allowance when receiving MMS?

ALSO does anyone know how to get push messages from facebook and gmail working

it seems to be working now but i cant get the phone to make any noise when getting emails or face book messages.

EDIT and why does my wireless keep turning off?

Going to upgrade to some ROM for the first time this weekend, apart from all the advantages are there any DIS-advantages?

i.e 2.2 not being compatible with certain apps etc
 
I just spoke within internal Orange help - Orange San Frans are currently shipping with IMEI bars - phone up again and get it unbarred. It's likely you only activated the SIM or they forgot to unbar the phone when you called up the first time.

Apart from potential bugs i dont know of anything specific really...When you add the rom you back it up anyway, so if you dont liek it you just flash the original back on

Mine worked fine first time, but i bought mine from the shop and everything must have been activated as part of the purchase process.
 
Dammit. Just went to order one after seeing it some in stock at a certain jersey based store for it to get pretty much straight out of stock again !
 
Anyone know hot to get the radio louder in fact the ear phones in general?
They sound like they have plenty left to give. The sound is hardly audible.
 
Silly question but you have pressed the rocker switch with the headphone already plugged in?
There are a few different volumes I have found on the phone. (ringer) (in-call) (media) I'll admit the fm radio sound isn't massively loud but it's easily loud enough for me.
 
Righty-ho. Some help please peeps.

Been using the Modaco 2.2 ROMs and having an issue where the WiFi doesn't auto-reconnect. I gather this isn't just me but just want to check...

Also, I've tried the Jellyfish ROM which I wasn't keen on as it felt a bit sluggish. I notice that you can use SetCPU with that and OC the CPU. Is that not possible with other ROMS? Tried installing the app on the Modaco ROM but the speed can't be increased passed 600MHz.

Any tips for making it quicker at all too?
