The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

I have the white San Fran with the glossy finish boy oh boy big mistake! (Too slippy for me!)
Awesome little phone - I didn't really try the stock rom, just went straight on to a custom rom and its be fantastic. Coming from the Nokie 5800 (which snapped clean in half in my pocket when I bent over) I've loved the San Fran.

Orange via P4U have Galaxy S2 for £23.50 200min, 3000text, and 750 data which sounds like a good deal to me so more than likely going to order that over the weekend.

currently running cyanogen mod nightly build 227 and its rocks updated every night with bug fixes and well supported.

I got it when they first came out so have the AMOLED screen. Phone runs fine overclocked to 730 core :)

How often do you update it and does updating mean downloading the new rom and reflashing it?

I got a 2nd hand sanfran the other week but haven't changed from the stock orange 2.1 yet. What puts me off the newer roms out there is that they all seem to have serious bugs in them judging from the threads at modoco and xna. They also seem to be developed for new features and stuffed full of apps I don't think I will want.

What I am looking for is a basic updated rom that I can put on, have everything working and then forget about. I don't want to be spending a lot of time downloading and updating roms or chasing bugs.

there is a stable rom of cyanogen mod but to be honest most of the bugs have been long killed, issues are now with stuff being added that are phone didnt normally have.

ive never had any issues with the nightly builds and my data is synced to my google account so i dont have any down time.

Anyone else had any problems with battery or charging?

My wifes constantly saying her phone is borked and wont turn on etc, tonight when ive looked at it sure enough it wouldnt, plug it in for a few mins it would start then reboot and start boot loop, thought the rom had got screwed so reflashed no difference. tried a diff rom no diff. It was showing as almost full, then about 20$ then 40% then 60 in a matter of seconds, so i pulled the battery whilst connected to mains put it back in and it was at 1%...

Does sound like the battery is kapoot?
