The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

Yeah I suppose being an existing pay as you go customer would be a great help but I'm on contract with them and have been for a long time so needed an excuse as why I'd want one. Tried It's for a family members birthday but then he just switched to convincing me to get them on a contract...

Edit: She was a lot nicer, £78 all in, bye bye HTC hero, It's been emotional :)

Which of the phone numbers have people been using? I can't seem to find a 'Shop' one, just loads of support ones.

How did it cost you 78 pound if it's 99 + 10 top up before discount? ....

I have no idea and wasn't about to start asking her about it either! I just asked if a discount was possible as I'm a long serving Orange customer, she said she'd have a look and came back with that figure. Didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth

When I got it I was asked if I was an employer of a local service and I could have had discount that way. Take your payslip in and theres £20.00 off. I was also told student discount 10% and also online discount via quidco, cashback e.t.c if I ordered online. I wanted to walk out with it there n then so never got no discount but no sweat.

Just installed the HTC IME keyboard mod and damn its so much better. Was having a bit of trouble with the standard one, Touchpal was better but still not great, but now with the HTC one installed its so good!

I'm sure this was posted somewhere back int his thread but can anyone tell me if there are any screen protectors that fit fairly well?

I just search in Google "zte blade htc ime" and its the first suggestion there on Modaco. When you install it (there are two files), make sure you hold tap on a text area (like in the text msg app or in the address bar in the browser) and then select "Input Method" and then pick "HTC IME".

As for screen protectors, the Samsung i900 ones fit pretty much perfectly. I bought 6 for £1.70 odd i think, but they are hard to apply without getting bubbles! So i just have it all bare atm.

Can this be done on a standard non rooted San Francisco?

If so could someone post a quick installation guide.
