The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

ok first go into your mobile settings and make sure you have 3G Data turned on an you have to then go into access point names and select the right data provider. On mine its O2 Postpay MMS and imagine Orange has something similar.

With most of the new ROMs the first time you access the market place has to be via 3G (don't ask me why). Once it connects you can then happily turn off 3g and use wifi or whatever.

You can with root explorer or some other filemanager than can access the system partition with R/W permissions, just delete the .apk of the app from /system/app

tried ES file manager with root permissions and it doesn't work. It straight up tells me that is cannot delete the weather app, and it's been on deleting Titanium backup for 10mins now.

where is the 3g option? i cant find it.

or is it the 2g only one? if it is i have it unchecked and i went to pick the network thingy, picked orange and same problem :(

is there a way to get back to the default keyboard while on jellyfish's rom think i preffered it.

Also how do i close stuff right because after a while if i go to taskiller it has loads of things, i just press the back button is this the wrong way?

ok careful.

Oppen your app, whichever one it is. It will tell you that it wants root access (have you rooted the phone?)

Then within the file manager app navigate to /system/app in there is a load of system and user apps. Select the app to delete by holding down on it and a menu will popup. Hit delete and that's it.

You might get an error asking you to force quit, if that appis currently running.

no it doesnt tell me it wants root access im sure i rooted my phone but then again i did factory reset it after it because i tried to restart my phone and at the android screen it just turned blue and didnt work

What app did you download? I've only got experience with Root explorer.

If you got a different app, i'd say load it up and then hit the menu button, there should be an icon for some tools/settings etc.. maybe in there you can tell your app to access root.

Sorry i can't be more helpful.

P.s what ROM did you install?

jellyfish rom i have super manager am i supposed to root my phone before installing any roms? because now im staring at a blue android and cant get it to turn off withought taking the battery out.
