The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

I have an audio file I want to set as my message tone, I copied it to my phones SD card but I can't figure out how to apply it as my message tone.

Could someone help me out cheers?

/sdcard/media/audio/notifications/

Stick it in there. create the directory if it doesn't exist.

/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones/

and there is one other but I can't remember it!

then settings > sounds > set notification.

Well exactly, the phone costs twice as much so id expect it to be snappier :p

The phone was never sold as a high performance phone, it is a budget phone...A good one at that :)

Although id rather have my own iphone, so ill settle for my work one

yup.. whats the surprise about? OSF cost 99.99 with 10quid credit.. while the galaxy s is over 200quid.. i would EXPECT it to be a lot faster/better in every way.. same as comparing bmw 320 with bmw m3 which would be twice the price of the 320.. ;):D
 
Where were you having a problem? I had a problem trying to extract it so that an image folder appeared but got it after awhile.
 
Is there an 'image' folder on your sd? That is strange, it should just jump right into it when turning on and holding menu and vol+
 
Anyone having problems receiving texts? They seem to take hours to be received, when i put the Sim in another phone it works fine.
Its flashed to a current CM7 rom.

I've had this a couple of times...then again im getting the wireless turning off when the phones display turns off....

So ill be changing roms again no doubt
 
I'm getting annoyed now... CM7 is a battery drain and SS doesn't turn the display off when I get a text...

Any one else having these issues?
 
Running SS RLS5 on mine and the actual speed and function of the phone is great but my battery is bloody aweful even after calibration. Play a game for five mins, 10% battery gone, make a one minute call, 5% battery gone. All wifi and data is off....is my battery goofed or is this typical for people?
