The new Samsung Odyssey G9 Mini Led

Seems like a ridiculous monitor, but there are a couple small things missing like USB-C, built in KVM and maybe a slightly higher resolution than 1440p

Thanks for the heads up, I've cancelled my original order and bought through perksatwork. No idea what that will do in terms of being in the queue for delivery but that saving cannot be passed up.

Is that 10% off? Do you know how long this perksatwork deal will be on for, Im thinking of getting the G9 next month if thats the price

No idea how long but typically 10% off runs year round, only disappears if they have no stock.

And yes, got 10% off plus still get the ssd.

£1664.10, should get 8% back in points (£110.94 if it's before VAT), 1tb SSD included. I think that's pretty decent given the screen is really two 27" qhd 240hz panels with mini-led backlights.

Gonna wait on some more reviews first and see if there are still some of the issues the previous model had, but im hoping they've all been ironed out now

Fair enough, I jumped early on the G9 wagon last year and ended up having to replace the first one I received so I'm really hoping that they've sorted the problems out given it's essentially the same chassis with an upgraded backlight and HDMI/Displayport board.

I hope so too, though looking at the spec sheet its apparently a fair bit lighter in weight and I hope that doesnt mean poorer build quality

seen some reviews so far, but they haven't been in depth enough. Need Hardware unboxed to do a proper deep dive into the monitor, looking at every inch of it

Ah yes that would be good, along with PCM2 and Badass for some proper technical reviews.

From what I've seen with reviews and that reddit chap who's kindly been posting plenty of videos it does look really good. My biggest gripe with the G9 was the backlight making HDR useless.

I completely forgot about perksatwork. I used it to buy Apple products but only got a 2% discount but since then anything else I was interested in only got me WOW points. I have e-mailed Samsung to see if they will retrospectively give me the discount (fat chance???) as I am loathe to cancel my order in case there is a queue system in place.

I did try to get the order discounted retrospectively but they couldn't do it. Ended up having to cancel and reorder. Though I have received the 1tb ssd and presume they'll want that back, happy to send it back if so.

Didn't explain anything like that to me, just said they haven't got the functionality to refund the difference. I've yet to receive a message saying its delayed, still let me select delivery for the 9th, though that's not surprising really, website isn't the best.
