****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

I meant why get a 3ds if your only getting Pokemon? That makes no sense.

He'll just get Pokemon at launch and then something else which interests him later. Makes sense to me, I was thinking of picking up Pokemon, Chinatown Wars and maybe a 3DS game. Then getting the other better stuff when it comes out later.

I mean, if you buy a 3DS but no 3D games, surely that defeats the objective though :D ?

Mind you having said that, I can't see these coming down in price for a long while considering the predecessors are priced within reasonable context. So perhaps getting it now instead of later is not such a bad idea. Especially since you may want to part ex your existing DS before they come down in price when the 3DS comes out.

Well, just depends on what the PSP2 will be priced at. But if its supposed to be on "par with the PS3" (please note the quote marks), I cant see it going for anything less than £250-£300, which would ironically make the 3DS competitively priced at the £200 range.

The ninty fanboy in me wants one, but I cant justify it at that price...
....at least until I see it in action... :p

Try getting a 3DS when the games are available that you want ;D

Well as I say, Im in no rush and even if I cant get one immediately, I can still wait. There are plenty of other games which I am trying to get through at the moment.

I just finished Unreal Tournament 3 (yes you heard right :p) Next up is C&C3 :D

Basically.... I want Pokemon Black.

Now, what makes more sense? Getting the 3DS and being able to play it on that? Or... having to wait till MGS or Zelda or something worthwhile is released on the 3DS first?

Pokemon Black will take up the time between the releases anyway. :)

:O

I bought that on release expecting it to be awesome, yet I am dissapoint at the single player.

my hat goes off to you sir.

Well it depends, if you dont have an NDS at the moment and you are pretty confident that you will be playing 3DS games, then 3DS is a no brainer!

But if you are not too sure about 3DS games at this stage, I would personally pick up an NDS for sub £100 and then sell it on if you do change your mind about 3DS games.

Personally speaking of course :)

It does surprisingly get better and I do love the fast pace action of the game, not to mention that you can run everything to o maximum with no hint of slow down. Tried a few games online and t'was ok too :)

The more I post in here, the more I itch to preorder a 3DS...
DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU ALL!
The ninty fanboy in me is winning me over dammit!

Cav... I'm always tempted to reply to your posts with a lmgtfy link.

Kreeeee you should know me by now that Im a lazy bum who has his online minions of OCUK minibots doing his search bidding ;)

No in seriousness I did do a quick google but couldnt find it hence the reason why I asked.

But hey I do thank people for searching (which, incidentally did the same with you).

If you are not happy with the work, then Im sure we can re-negotiate the terms of your contract.

Yeah I was just gonna ask everyone which game they'd be buying at launch. Atm for me it just looks like SSF4. I think that Resident Evil: The Mercenaries would be fun in short bursts, a proper handheld type game where you jump in and out but nothing more. If it's simply the Mercenaries mode from RE4 & 5 then I don't think it's worth anywhere near the RRP of a similar game with a proper single player story.

Mine is only SSF4 also, had some points clocking up one of my accounts so I can get £72 off when I buy the 3DS. I might pick up an extra game if any others take my fancy.

Pfft, the correct response was to ask what "lmgtfy" means ;) :p
