The **Now Drinking** Thread

Yea, they are pretty flimsy looking but they are awfully secure thanks to the two different places it holds the bottle.

Duvel for me, sod it.

Matey it only holds it by one place, just underneath the crown on the top layer, the second hole it just passes through. Anyway would you agree about the aniseed aftertaste or am I a country mile away? :) Oh and good lad your on the road to recovery already :D

I can't totally recall the packaging, but I thought the second hole 'caught' it as well. It is, definitely very flimsy though and I'm a bit nervous when dragging it off the top shelf at the supermarket.

Aniseed seems fair, it's a very sweet beer. Almost banana'ery in places. I'd say it's also pretty heavy in cloves. They do a brown version as well which is less sweet and I'd say probably nicer. There are a bunch of other Leffe's but the brown and blonde are the only ones we easily get over on the mainland, so assume it's the same in Norn Iron.

I think it's a phenomenal beer.

It's pronounced 'Leff-er' or just 'Leff', not 'Leff-ee'. Just so you know.

Cheers mate as I for one would deffo have asked for Leffeeeee :D That said be it flimsy, terrible, 'worst ever' it makes no difference as I for one will be lifting it down (must be my local Asda's sense of humour) again because it's very very nice in such a different way and by pure luck in the fact that it was a four pack as I still have another two to enjoy :D

Innis & Gunn Blonde, just like the Original I enjoyed this though to be fair it came across as almost a 'light' version of the Original albeit delightful in it's own way and I for one would not be disappointed being offered either.

Glass of chardonnay. Have had parents' evenings all week (at work from 7.15am - 7:30pm yesterday :()Finish for half term tomorrow so chilling tonight a bit!

:D Sorry, feel for them, sitting in those tiny chairs looking up at that teacher brings back such vivid nightmares.... :p I've been there off and on this week (tiny chairs that is).

Leffe still

Spamtastic yes .... but last post of the night from me has to go to Innis & Gunn Original, this beer with it's toffee taste really should be sold with a 1/4 sweet paper bag it's that good! Just try it. :)

I teach Year 5 (9 and 10 year olds) - I have normal sized chairs!

I get so nervous before parents' evenings, still, even after 2 years, but I try to think of it that way - they're probably more intimidated by me than I am of them!

I've yet to frequent a primary school chair that ever comes close to being 'normal' size ;) ... that said Vic I have nothing but the utmost respect for the job you do and the task you take upon :).

.. and yes we are :D
