Coffee , first one of the day, even with my foot surgery trying my best to cut down my intake

so thought I'd try something different for a change, maybe not new to some here but deffo to me

Good to see you're branching out a little bit DJ! I hope you'll find the Leffe as terrific as I do.
The Innis & Gunn stuff is quite an acquired taste, it's mainstream oak aged stuff but it'll be quite a shock for a lager drinker like you.
I'm just on the water, I'm full of the cold.
I'll let you know how I get on. Oh and yes I do like my lager but also my ales and stouts too
Well I must say it is certainly different but yet very likeable in taste, I'm not a great one for being descriptive but this to me seems to have an almost aniseed aftertaste, didn't keep it's head very long but seldom do .... esp. round me
Yea, they are pretty flimsy looking but they are awfully secure thanks to the two different places it holds the bottle.
Duvel for me, sod it.
Oh and good lad your on the road to recovery already
I can't totally recall the packaging, but I thought the second hole 'caught' it as well. It is, definitely very flimsy though and I'm a bit nervous when dragging it off the top shelf at the supermarket.
Aniseed seems fair, it's a very sweet beer. Almost banana'ery in places. I'd say it's also pretty heavy in cloves. They do a brown version as well which is less sweet and I'd say probably nicer. There are a bunch of other Leffe's but the brown and blonde are the only ones we easily get over on the mainland, so assume it's the same in Norn Iron.
I think it's a phenomenal beer.
It's pronounced 'Leff-er' or just 'Leff', not 'Leff-ee'. Just so you know.
That said be it flimsy, terrible, 'worst ever' it makes no difference as I for one will be lifting it down (must be my local Asda's sense of humour) again because it's very very nice in such a different way and by pure luck in the fact that it was a four pack as I still have another two to enjoy
Having a few cans of harp lager.
Tried and tested that's what I like to see
