I'm an occasional drinker and only drink red wine. I've just finished a bottle of Californian Merlot called 'Barefoot' which was very nice. Today I've bought a bottle from Aldi called Pierre Jaurant Bordeaux which tastes quite different and smoother, also very nice and only £5.29. It has been compared to a £3,000 bottle drank by the Beckhams as being as good!

The Beckhams enjoyed a bottle of Chateau Mouton Rothschild on Christmas Day, and it costs up to £3,000 a bottle.

I am starting my usual abstinence for Lent tomorrow, so polished off a nice bottle of Prosecco earlier but now we're lacking in opened bottles. All I have is some Yeni Raki that I bought by accident because I thought it was vodka.

Currently drinking it with tonic to mask the taste. It is ... mediocre.
 
i just brought a nice aglianico from an italian wine merchant that i've been using for about 12 months and they constantly deliver, it's called 'Horeca Aglianico Campania IGP' and to me its extremely special!
