Two roast chicken with bacon and cheese Paninis with Rocket and some super sweet sauce they put on the lettuce, a bit like hoisin, followed by a lovely slice of strawberry and cream sponge cake. Glad I didn't pay for this lot, typical extortionate department store cafe prices!

Did a birthday meal this afternoon for mum, and family were there. A bistro called The Walk, excellent food and have been there once before. £108 split between us for 7 meals, desserts and drinks plus we gave about 10% tip, so £118. Not too bad really. I had beef bourgignon. Stunningly delicious, but I really didn't think there was enough on the plate. I had their chicken ala creme last time and there was tons of food. I then had apple tart tatin warmed up and ice cream, really lovely. Free plate of turkish delights on sticks at the end.

Was stuck all working last weekend, but I got to go to Scran today for their latest special. Indian pulled lamb shoulder on toasted sourdough, topped with lentil puree, cucumber & coriander yogurt, poached eggs and chilli butter. Sensational! One of their best yet. I could have happily eaten a second helping :D

I had lunch at Steak, Cattle & Roll. I tried out their Nacho burger, a burger topped with nachos, cheese sauce, pulled beef brisket, salsa, guacamole, sour cream and jalepenos. Got this plus some skinny fries. It was delicious, but I didn't quite manage to finish it.

Rounded things off with a trip to Deesserts. Got the create your own cookie dough with banana slices and caramel sauce. Was goooood :)

Is no one else going to comment?!
you mean the quallity of the steak photography is going down hill - they (multiple) have not found the android steak photo app ?
a google did reveal that maybe you have to ask for medium-rare plus to avoid confusion in NY

I guess those restaurants, in this thread, have not got 4000K lights , they are 6000K which looks good for buying meat in the supermarket, but not for medium-rare cooked.
