The **Now Eating** Thread

Had no beans at home this morning so had to get my fix out and about. £3 for a sausage and bacon bap with a (shockingly average at best) flat white.

Not bad

London prices I guess, egg waffle is a street food in HK and thus meant to be cheap, it’s normally like £1 for a plain one. The ice cream thing is a recent trend. Not something I saw growing up.

I thought £3 for a coffee and breakfast was remarkable value. I used to pay £2 for a flat white at Wogan's so I'll take the extra pound for the bap and average coffee as a win.

God, I love my new job but I hate that I can't visit wogans any more. :(

Nice!

I think we need a recipe sharing thread, or at least people could share recipes with the photo, if possible! Even though that is a fairly simple dish, you do post some good ones.

Thank you.

Although I also buy more top end, my heart lays in a bargain or cheaper cut and using the equipment I have in the kitchen to turn it into something a little more than what would be expected from the price paid :)

This was reduced price fish cakes, frozen peas and microwaved and then riced, jacket spuds, in a white sauce, white wine and MSG.

Total cost per portion would be around £1.80
