The **Now Eating** Thread

I’ve had a bug for a couple of days which has meant even looking at food nearly sends me over the edge.

Followed by the remains of the above, along with a dose of proper flu… (Not man flu)

3 year old seems to have it all too, so extremely challenging time.

All I can say is, if I make it through this alive then a huge belly buster Indian order will be on the cards :D

It's obscene how much takeaway food is now, more so with a delivery service on top of it.

I know it's a treat food and you're not well (sorry to hear that mush) but it's incredible how much a humble fast food burger has increased in price.

I’m probably showing my age here but I can remember when a big mac meal was £2.88!

I’m well aware things go up over the years but the problem is so do your standards so it seems so much more money for something that’s not as good as you expect it to be.

Toasted Sourdough, mayo, ham, mushroom duxelles, toms de chèvre, stuffing, turkey, bread

I think I reached sandwich enlightenment. The best sandwich I’ve ever eaten I think.

The one on the right is ham and lime pickle as previously posted.

The remainder of the turkey is now in a madras :D

Maccies was £2.88 for years! I remember giving the Maccies member £11.52 for buying 4 meals for myself and 3 friends. Now that money doesn’t cover 2 meals
 
I’ve come to the conclusion I don’t like Turkey. This is why folk cover it with cranberry sauce as it’s not that great really.

Beef, lamb or chicken FTW!!

Thank you very much, my life has flashed before my eyes I can’t lie.

All I could see in Heaven above was what I think Rob looks like.. saying “I told you so..” over and over again.

Plot twist is, the last thing I ate was a crappy Pizza before hand, so I think I’m put off them for life! Despite being unrelated as my little en had been up the night before and I was having to catch everything for a couple of hours :eek:

I find it's hard to tell with food, sometimes it's not always the last thing you ate it's the thing before which has now been pushed down with the last thing, if that makes sense. Equally, I have had it with meat in particular when I've known straight away that something isn't right.

It wasn’t food related, I don’t think anyway.

My daughter has had a rough time picking absolutely everything up from Nursery.

She had a sickness bug and she insisted on keeping me up all night, laying all over me.. couple of days later I had the same so it must have been that.

Now I’m full of proper flu, but coming round now.. managed a Cottage Pie last night so starting to feel a little more human :D

When the times right I can’t wait to indulge in a huge Indian for one with all the trimmings.
