Having spent the day touring 3 wedding fairs (much cake was sampled), went to nice pub nearby for carvery lunch. Beef, gammon and pork with all the trimmings. Was delicious,
EXCEPT - they had obviously made the Yorkshires quite a while before and left them under the hot lights with the meat, when I cut into mine it was almost hollow, totally dried out - there was no doughey batter-i-ness left in the middle and it was so crunchy (read: hard) I almost broke my tooth on it.
