The **Now Eating** Thread

After loosing 12lbs in a week due to flu my mother in law has taken pity on me.

She's sent over Shepherds Pie, followed by Rhubarb crumble!!! At the same time, took away all the washing and ironing! I have the best MIL in the world!

I really *really* hope you didn't miss an F off there.

Glad to hear that you took on board the advice about the protein content.

I did read it, and decided to do a bit of reading online, then disregarded your assumption as invalid.

77g of protein for a day when on a cut? Surely not. When I'm cutting, which I am at the moment, protein makes up approximately 55-60% of my calorie intake for the day, which equates to about 170g per day.

BennyC suggested that the dryness could be down to the amount of whey in the mixture, which I also think is wrong as I used the same amount today and just simply cooked it for less time and it tasted awesome. FWIW, I didn't actually see BennyC's post until after I made tonight's batch so would have probably tried just the one scoop if I had. But after having success with this tonight I think I'll stick with it for when it's late in the day and I am still a way off capping my macros.

I will try it with the one scoop another day and see how that turns out.

You have to consider you didn't disclose your daily protein intake in your original post some FrenchTarts assumption wasn't completely unfounded.

1 scoop is all that's needed but each to our own.

(FWIW, you don't need to educate me on macros ;) )

I never said that you should have only 77g of protein per day. I said that was nearly your entire protein requirement for a day - so unless you're eating bugger all the rest of the day, what I said was true.

170g of protein per day is somewhat high unless you've got more LBM than Freefaller or enjoy juice.

Neither of those but I find a low-carb, high protein and moderate fats approach to cutting works best for me and helps keep me satiated for longer.
