One thing I always remember about my nan (lived all her life in Bethnal Green) is that whenever I had a curry, she would turn her nose up and say "Ugh, that looks like a pile of ****". 5 minutes later I'd look round and she'd be eating jellied eels with her teeth out and the jelly would be dribbling out all over her cardie.
I used to think to myself " and you say curries are disgusting!"

What a picture to behold haha, sounds like my dear old grandad he was the same, either jellied eels or cockles, the house would always have them in

Fancied a late night snack so had a 50p peters Cornish pastie that I got from Asdas deli. Surprisingly good. How they do it for 50p is beyond me.
Done a slow roast duck, rice wrappers, cucumber, spring onions and hoi sin sauce. However it's just sat there. I feel icky and well not sure I can eat anything 
So much chooser than getting a takeaway, duck is 'Ike £9 there forever on 1/2 price deals from one place or another.

Well, guess I won't be making that pudding. I polished off the whole loaf. Didn't think much of panettone at first, just fruit bread. But then it got me. The lightness of the bread and that lovely fruit sets it apart from anything else. Wonderful stuff, with butter spread on it. By day three when it wasn't as soft, 15 seconds in the microwave. Lovely. Must buy some. Nom nom!
Meanwhile, now eating marzipan.
