Beef buried in the bottom somewhere...

Nice. I'm cooking a roast dinner later myself.

edit: Dry aged topside joint from Aldi stuck in the sous vide at 54.5C, roast potatoes doing their thing, parsnips ready to go in the sous vide at 85C for 30 mins before frying off in butter, yorkshire pudding batter resting.... This is going to be good :)

Oh yeah... onions and mushrooms gently browned for an hour ready for me to deglaze the pan with chicken stock before adding the lot to a roux.

slow roast lamb, mixed roasted veg, cauliflower cheese, giant Yorkshire, onion gravy and lots of mint sauce.

there's plenty left and I'm not hungry, but think I'll have seconds.

Just went into town for a haircut, popped into McDonald's to try a Tennessee stack. Not bad, nothing special, but then I've never been a lover of BBQ sauce on a burger and this stuff was dripping out. Better cheese than usual though. New York stack should be better I hope.

I agree, BBQ saurce just overpowers the taste of everything else in a burger I think.

It definitely can do, especially cheaper burgers as they'll slather on ridiculous amounts of overly sweet sauce. Decent burger joints will just add a little sauce though, which works well imo.

That said, Almost Famous is still my favourite and they go crazy overboard with sauces. All decent quality ones though.

Hate it when the dressings spill everywhere. Especially on larger burgers where it is already a challenge to keep it together. Last thing you want is to finish the burger and see you have tomato sauce down your shirt. May have done this once :p

I had one last night, bacon tasted like it was raw, squishy bacon fat is the worst! Cheese was nice but like you said, the bbq sauce was dripping from the burger, no idea why they feel like it needs to be dipped in sauce. Much prefer the other American burgers they do.
