**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Anyone else having problems with BF 4 dropping to 15 - 20 FPS for 30 od seconds then running fine?

The GPU core goes to so,etching lik 20% until while its doing this. Overclocked or not makes no difference nor dor the beta drivers?

Fortunately not no. But you may not be the only one.

Remember when the 600 series got released there was an issue with what I can only describe as 'running through water' feeling, which Nvidia fixed. (Well actually gigbayte fixed my issue with a bios update)

Any way, some people are reporting the same issue as you. I’m not sure if Nvidia have acknowledge it as an issue.

See here. Some dude has even created a petition for it!

Not liking these at all! i can't get anywhere near my previous clocks and whilst others are reporting an improvement in Fire Stike i'm now getting artifacts and worse scores. I also drunk so i may have broke something :D

980 sounds like it's knackered....

Forward me your BT details and i'll fire over 200 quid into your account to relieve you of the card & your pain. :D

These latest betas definitely do mess up dai. Thought I needed a third card as performance was woeful.

Reverted to previous, much better. Maybe still need a third card for 4k though.

Yeh, with previous drivers never dropped below 80, to be honest it was over 100fps+. Used these betas and performance dropped noticeably, from stutters to about 55fps mins. Always clean install my drivers, every time :)

Back to 344.80 and perfect again

I've just posted in the CS forum to have this Card sent back. I know AMD get slated for their drivers but this, in my experience, has taken it to a all low.

BF4 is not playable at all for me. Which is a shame, the GTX970 has so much promise.

Yeah, I swapped back to nvidia for better drivers and smoother experience.... Looks like I picked worst possible time to do that :D

Remember 780s being flawless. Hope it's just a driver thing and not something more fundamentally wrong with maxwell...

I'm a little disappointed to be honest. The last nVidia Card I had was a 8800GTX, which was a beast. From there I went to AMD, when it appeared everyone had driver problems with AMD, I had nothing. Now I've gone back to the Green side and feel that they have released a product that isn't quite there. I know that's nothing new from any firm but for the love of God.

I just hope Overclockers sort out the return of the Card without problem. I don't want to waste anymore time trying to make the thing work.

These issues are no doubt real, but must be very isolated otherwise loads would be reporting the same problem.

There are loads in the Nvidia forums, but you are the first here I have seen.

Are you going to switch it for another 970?

No. I've requested a refund on this Card. I'll then Re-install my 7970 and wait to see what happens with the Graphic Card scene next year.

As I said in my last post, I'm quite disappointed, which is a shame. And yes, there is a 48 (as I post this) page post on the nVidia forums. So, I don't think I'm unique with the problem.

Been doing some more testing in DA:I between the 344.80 and the latest 347.09, there's a good 10-15fps difference on the mins. Not only are the 344.80's smoother but there were no drops below 60fps in the three-four hours I played, even the same areas as the 347.09's

The 344.80's are my Nvidia driver of choice at the moment which is what I went back to :D
