**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

These drivers seem to have altered the voltage/boost again.

I'm seeing higher values than on previous drivers with the same overclock settings.

Edit: After a restart it seems fine.

When you install a new driver the clocks/volts usually get reset to defaults/mucked about a bit (technical term(TM) ) even though things like Afterburner show they are still set. You need to reboot for your OC's to be noticed again and ensure they are reset to your settings.

A short warning:

The 352.86-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql (latest nVidia "Witcher 3" drivers) cause crashes and black screens in several games. There is also a discussion on guru3d about them, and they seem to cause some problems on certain systems.

Had my first drivers stopped responding and recovered with these, since fall 2014 (the time I got this card).

From n....

Think I might go back to the last drivers too. Just had a CTD and also a massive texture issue in Far Cry 4 plus I've noticed the flashing textures in some scenes are back but not as bad in SLI as they were before.
The Dynamic Range option mentioned above seems to have disappeared too.

Yep just tried 350.12 and Far Cry 4 okay again. Also the Dynamic range option is back.

sean Pelletier @pellynv Our teams have said this isn't true several times already. We'll continue to chime in and "remind" folks though.

Asked this nvidia guy if rumours were true and he said that.

:D

Apparently these drivers NV deliberately caused to cripple Kepler and Fermi cards

https://forums.geforce.com/default/...pler-gpus-performance-in-favor-of-maxwell-/1/

The story continues................
I had the opposite experience with Fermi. They improved my Witcher 3 performance on a creaking old 570, enough that it's now rock solid at 30fps on medium, rather than stuttering with random 100% GPU usage spikes.

So obviously they're just purposefully crippling Kepler cards. :D

strange autput dinamic range option is missing for me since .12 drivers and colors messed up since then , maybe should try to connect with hdmi instead dvi .
Sure it's not under the 'Change resolution' section? It was under the 'Adjust desktop colour settings' one when they first added it, but they moved it to the resolution page for whatever reason.
