**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Surprised there isn't a thread about it yet :D

Man I am fed up - Ordered The Witcher 3 back in December from unlimitedgamestore and still no sign of my key grrrrrrr. My last day off work today as well :(

Done some benchmarks on these new and 'improved' drivers and they are definitely slower (for me) by about 7% on average, although I've not had any of the stability issues some people are reporting, but slower without a doubt.

....I'll be going back to the 350.12 drivers when I get the chance.

That is interesting. If the case, I am rolling back as well.

was getting driver not responding reverted back to .88 but still dinamic range option is missing

Hmm some people are reporting the 347.88 drivers are performing better than the latest for W3 and Pcars. If that's true something is fishy.

:D

Apparently these drivers NV deliberately caused to cripple Kepler and Fermi cards

https://forums.geforce.com/default/...pler-gpus-performance-in-favor-of-maxwell-/1/

The story continues................

Techspot's testing was completely flawed so I'm not sure how anyone can come to any sensible conclusion based on it.

Techspot said:
Using FRAPS we recorded the first 60 seconds of a solo race at Nürburgring in Sprint mode with a Formula A car and 20 AI controlled opponents. The same conditions, track and cars we used each time and the results are based on an average of three runs Nürburgring in Sprint mode with a Formula A car.

Why do people think all of the reputable benchmarks are pre-determined/fixed scenes? it's to ensure that the AI/graphic routines are *identical* between every run and gives accurate results, testing with their methodology you can have millions of races and no two will be the same.

Good question. Has anyone on here actually tested the drivers on those cards to compare whether its looking true or just a load of baloney ?
Also surprised there is not a rage thread on here too. Although really this is the place to discuss.

Additional : since I went back to 350.12 seems to be okay again.

These latest drivers crapped out on me whilst benching - have ended up going right back to 350.05 and all seems well again - see my latest FS score.

Just bought a 970. Do I need to uninstall my current drivers first? Been trying to but it asks me to restart after uninstalling the driver, but as soon as it boots back up Windows is reinstalling the driver and I keep going in a constant loop.

Pop the 970 in, restart and install the latest (clean install). If you have problems, run DDU and check the box that doesn't allow windows to install drivers.

I'll buy it off you if you don't want it, I played it on my brothers account

I am doing it as a youtube giveaway bud. Comment for a chance to win :)
