**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Is it mainly Maxwell GPUs experiencing application crashes? Seems strange with these being launch drivers for 980 Ti.

Anyone with Kepler had constant crashes that otherwise didn't, and what driver were you using previously?

Thanks :)

I'm not for one second debating what anyone else has said, nor am I white knighting for nvidia.

But for my 3 way sli 780's I have definitely noticed quite a large improvement in the witcher @ 4k.

As I said above, I have gone from around 35-40FPS up to around 50 stable.

Just in case, you did go into the Witcher 3 settings and turn everything back to where it was? As the last couple of updates have turned stuff down.

Wow, these are great drivers for me. Witcher 3 has definitely seen an improvement, there was a particular spot in a village that was chugging, now it's smooth.

Nice one Nvidia, credit where credit's due.

Puzzling that some people are still having crashing problems, the last set and these (so far) are rock solid stable on my rig.

780ti here never had a crash with any of the 3 latest drivers (All stable here on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.), new driver is fine here too and seems some decent gains with Kepler again (Lets hope they keep it that way now:rolleyes:).

Maybe check the stability of your computers, maybe a bad overclock on the CPU or GPU or RAM set too high.

No crashes here (780 sli, for part of this week at least ;)), those that are getting them, what was your install method?

Express install
Custom install (nvidia cleans drivers)
Or
Ddu then clean install?

Express install this time , the other ones were Custom install.
Seems odd how it effects some and not others but the older driver works fine so will use that atm

Damn it! Same problem with the new drivers. 353.06 just crashed on me an hour after I installed them. My method is to go to safe mode and use DDU to remove old ones. Back to normal mode then install. I have twin Asus GTX980 Matrix Platinums in SLi.

I had used the 350.12 driver all week with no problems this crash comes about an hour after install of 353.06 so I guess its back to the others again. Very poor by Nvidia.

Issues fixed in 353.06:

[GeForce Experience, SLI]: Following an in-game resolution change, Shadowplay icon is missing after Alt+ Tab. [200108633]

[SLI]: Display goes to half tile when 3840 × 2160 resolution is applied. [200095220] 

[OpenGL, Windows 8.1 -x86/x64]: GLSL shader compile error. [1647324]

[N16x, Windows 8 -x64]: Allow overclocking settings to be read from the video BIOS as long as it has overclocking enabled. [1579756]

Nope none at all. Performance in GTA V is definitely worse though.

I am defo sticking with 350

I found that the 352 drivers maxed out the GPU for some reason. Went back to 350, ran the same test and was sitting around 80, no stutter and at 60 FPS

I will not install these either.

I just don't understand why they can't get it right for all games after their "game ready drivers" are released. Seems they release them, they are fine for the game they are ready for, then the next release they gimp that game....

However it make's trouble shooting an issue with game support because they insist on the latest drivers installed.
