**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

And considering the LED was an indicator as to the status of G-Sync, then why should we ignore it - it is a function of the monitor which has been made redundant.

Well it's most probably more the way the EC in the monitor communicates. The screen was manufactured at a time when obviously Windows 10 didn't exist, and NVIDIA have had to make changes to the way the driver works to incorporate the new operating system. There isn't any load being placed on the G-Sync module so I don't really see it as an issue.

First world problems :D

Kepler performance fix and 980Ti drivers:

Just in time for the highly anticipated title Heroes of the Storm, this new GeForce Game Ready driver ensures you'll have the best possible gaming experience. This driver is also aligned with the launch of the new flagship gaming GPU, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti. In addition, this new Game Ready driver provides a number of new gaming features and benefits based around G-SYNC technology, Dynamic Super Resolution, and enhancements for the latest new titles.

Game Ready
Best gaming experience for Heroes of the Storm, including support for GeForce Experience 1-click optimizations

New GeForce GPU
Supports the new GeForce GTX 980 Ti GPU, based upon the second-generation Maxwell architecture

Gaming Technology
Supports G-SYNC technology in windowed mode, offers both G-SYNC (V-SYNC on) and G-SYNC (V-SYNC off) options, support for Ultra-Low Motion Blur (ULMB) in the NVIDIA Control Panel, provides Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) for notebooks with discrete GeForce GPUs, and optimizations and bug fixes which can provide increased performance for Kepler-based GPUs.

Not just a few fixes and 980Ti addition, ULMB is now applied via NVCP.

W3 doesn't appear (on the surface, a few mins testing) to have gained much of anything, PCars how ever is now firmly lodged in three figure frame rates.

Just gave the drivers a whirl.

Running Witcher 3 @ 4k with 780 3 way sli.

Was hitting around...35-40 fps before, now up to around the 50-55 mark, everything fully maxed out (except no AA)

Its too much difference to be a placebo effect as well, now..do i still want to buy me some 980's....

Ughhhh

I installed 352 this evening to test GTA V and then removed them because they were just the worst... really bad.... How???
It had been said in here mind you but R* wanted it done for my ticket and anything to amuse..

Revert back to 350, No crashes!!!! ummmm

In fact GTA V is now running better than before I uninstalled them earlier...

NOW!

Log back in here and there is New new drivers!

AAgghhh!

Lol, Nvidia release drivers all the time, and AMD hardly ever do.. You just can't win !! :D:p

These crashes on the desktop are very reminiscent of the 275/300 driver branch transition. Is anyone with a reference 980 getting these random crashes?

Looks like I'll be skipping these drivers too then, thanks for the reports

I'm not for one second debating what anyone else has said, nor am I white knighting for nvidia.

But for my 3 way sli 780's I have definitely noticed quite a large improvement in the witcher @ 4k.

As I said above, I have gone from around 35-40FPS up to around 50 stable.
