**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Think I'm gonna hold off the reinstall of Windows 10 a bit more actually, just been reading some comments regarding the 353.62 driver and several people saying the .cab update won't detect their GPU, a few said the GTX 970 and 980Ti is not detected.

Why don't Nvidia list the hotfix drivers? Or is it just that I can't find them on the Nvidia site?

It's been sorted since then, I tried the .cab install the other day and it wouldn't detect my card. Windows installed this for me automatically this morning and it's been working fine.

Had two crashes within 15 minutes on Witcher 3 now.
I don't understand how some people have finished the game without a single crash, but I'm having constant issues :(

So, I'm going from Team Red, to Team Green. I know nothing about the drivers, which ones to avoid etc... I am getting a Galax 980 SOC, which driver should I be downloading? :)

Will you be going to Windows 10 tomorrow?

If so, the latest driver for that.

If not, try the latest WHQL for Win 7/8.

Doh! Clean install of Windows 10 with automatic updates disabled and 353.30 Nvidia drivers installed yesterday, 1 hour of TW3 last night and hard crashed and automatically restarted my PC. What's happening with Windows 10 and Nvidia is a joke right now.

That's more than likely the game which is at rather than the drivers or Windows 10 mate. I've had zero issues with mine so far and I've tried around 30 games on it now too.

You're lucky then, for the past week games have been crashing literally within 10 seconds for me, clean install yesterday and 1 hour is all I can manage without some kind of hard crash, still better then 10 second crash but my experiences lately have not been very good.

It could well be a faulty card.

In Windows 7 I had no issues other than what I said a few weeks back where I was facing stuttering problems (at the time it was Assassin's Creed Black Flag).

I think I am just been unlucky with Windows 10 and am ready to give it up completely at this rate.

Have the same thing but only with GTAO and SoM, if I repeatedly launch the game it will eventually launch - well, SoM will, gtao won't, black screen followed by blah blah has stopped responding.

Tbh I think it's partially down to my Windows 8.1 install, hopefully a clean Windows 10 retail install shortly will cure it.

Something weird going on with Windows at present, just doing a fresh install of W7 and getting failed errors on the 1st set of updates.

I've been getting that for a month now with 8.1.

With the imminent release of 10 I just gave up trying to get the updates installed.
