**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Hmm, played about 5 hours of The Witcher 3 last night ( 355.83 ), and about two times perhaps three in that game I noticed what looked to be a mini game freeze. Maybe I'm just being fussy

Dunno if its latest drivers or somit else like weather or win 10. But i went to turn the pc on this afternoon and during win 10 boot up the screen was white with cursor in the middle and it looked like tiny dots all over the screen and it was flickering. Hit the reset button quick smart. Booted ok after that.

So every so often, my NVIDA drivers will crash/my game will lock up. Might happen once every 4 hours. Sometimes I can leave a game on the menu screen, come back in an hour and it has crashed.

Sometimes I get the 'display driver has stopped responding'. Sometimes not.

Sometimes when I force quit the application, and restart the game, Rivertuner OSD doesn't appear to be able to be summoned any more. Sometimes it can be, but my 970 is only running at 540mhz speed. Sometimes its clock speed is completely normal (running about 1450 OC 7500mhz on the memory).

Can someone direct me on:

a) whether this is caused by unstable drivers or OC (I will confirm by playing on stock clocks tonight but I think it still happens, haven't driven the DDU clean install method.. still necessary after an upgrade to Win10?)

b) how to properly reforce the driver, allowing me to get my 970 back up to proper speeds without restarting the whole system.

Cheers. Running the latest drivers.

So I've got a 980Ti, turned on Shadowplay for the first time and my PC bluescreened with nvlddmkm.sys being the cause. Anyone know anything?

Im running 355.60 driver on win 10.. its working fine.. had no issue so fare except for **** poor performance in Killing Floor 2 with nVidia Flex/physx fully enabled.. but i got a feeling no driver will ever be able to fix that.... stupid flex

Gonna try and download the .82 and see how things are running..should be noted that i never installed Geforce experience or 3d vision related stuff.. perhaps that is saving me a lot of headache.

uninstall it and dont install it via the driver package, install the standalone from the website, should be ok then.

For anyone curious I fully removed anything Nvidia related, wiped PC with DDU and reinstalled using only the graphics driver and PhysX. Installed Experience separately as above and that resolved my issue, now it all works again no blue screen :)

I had some issue where I am in a middle of a game and it would just exit to desktop with no error message, this happened with a couple of games. I was playing metro last light redux and the game would exit to desktop on one particular section (could not progress at all). I did some searching and found that people having to turn physics to CPU from GPU. I gave this a try and BOOM the issue vanished. FPS was also much higher and games has never exit to desktop.

Is it just my 980 ti or has anyone been experienced this?

I uninstalled everything Nvidia, ran some more updates for Windows 8.1, reinstalled the standalone and it works.

Updated the driver via the application just now. Literally no idea why it would crash before.
