**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I get that they don't have certain features that people need in programs, and that there was an SLI memory issue in BF4/Hardline (now resolved)

But people often report 'Driver not responding, Display Driver Error and game crashing' every time there is a driver release.

My system has been stable as anything for months and I tend to game for hours at a time.

Same here, not had any problems, the one thing that does seem to pop up more an more thou is, most are using 9xx series GPU's.

In the same boat - can run every single one of these drivers so far without any problems :S

Tried to see if there was some correlation i.e. most of my systems use X79 and similar "enterprise" chipsets rather than the more common consumer chipsets so wondered if there was something to that but not spotted any specific factor so far.

I've got a system here that has been used for testing Windows 8/10, etc. that has a 970 in it that runs the latest drivers fine no problems - I spent awhile abusing it to try and replicate the issues back with earlier 353 builds without being able to.

355.60 still crashed Far Cry 4, gone lower to 353.62, so far so good

Crashed again in 353.62 - inside Far Cry 4, however this time it was not as fatal as before - was able to kill process and desktop is OK, before crash required reset.

Going to downgrade again, can't say I am very happy! :(

Downgrading to 353.30

I've been getting blackscreens during general use within win10...no pattern to when it occurs. I get no signal lost on the montior and nothing is logged in the event viewer, screen just goes black. When the picture returns its fine, no gfx corruption either.

Tried various drivers, any suggestions please? Possible dodgy card? Using a display port cable that came with the screen.

My vBIOS version is: 84.00.36.00.07

Have to admit, didn't seem to occur before win10 was installed.....

Far Cry 4 is just unstable in general to be honest, even after all the patches

Not had a driver crash myself for quite a while; last time I recall it crashing was a few weeks after 980Ti release with the initial drivers when using Chrome.

Does anyone else find that in order to get ShadowPlay working, they usually have to start it with services.msc?

Also, the Nvidia tray icon doesn't appear, so I have to right click & enable it through the control panel.

There does seem to be some issues with experience and NVCP.

I just uninstall and DDU and it rights itself on the install.

Also

Running 355.82 and no issues

Still have my clock fixed with K Boost and not had a crash in weeks....

'Force Constant Voltage' in MSI AB?

Never needed it for benching at 1550Mhz, i have been running it at 1500Mhz 24/7 and its never needed it.

Yer, pretty much the same. I have not used PX since the OG Titan days but I found PX's K-Boost was sweet for pushing maximum clocks and I expect the same for MSI AB's lock constant voltage. I have moved away from going for max clocks since my CPU isn't that stable at 5Ghz and just enjoying games really (of which I don't bother overclocking or running any OSD).

Ok, i don't know what my Maximum Overclock is as i have never taken it past 1550Mhz, maybe it would need it at higher clocks.

I have to say tho i'm impressed with it, thats ^^^ on stock volts, tempritures are between the high 50's and low 60's.
I could probably run it at 1550Mhz 24/7 but don't see the point in going that silly, its actually only about 2%.

One day i might have the guts to try past 1600Mhz.

I simply have not had a stable card in many games, when my card (many others as well) drops below 1 volt it caused driver instability.
It has fixed all my crashing issues with GTA and Elite dangerous.
It's locked it at my stock boost of 1397, which is more than enough for awesome game play. Also as Greg said, it enables great clocking for bench marks, which I only do now after driver updates. 13698 fire strike get in LOL

I love my card but the voltage issue was a real problem and I am not wiling to mod my Bios. Neil Modded this and has great stable performance, K Boost does it great for me.
There are lot's of Maxwell users out there with the same issues as me. so it is not my card before anybody says so! :D
