**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

and the tumble weed rolls by.

Done that for ages. Sometimes I miss the 3D.

Only use it when watching 3d blu rays in the lounge on the TV (PC is also used as my htpc with a long HDMI cable to the av amp).

Not been on Nvidia for long with AMD it just worked.

It's just as PITA to find I have to go through the wizard again :(

Next time I run the wizard I'll monitor what registry changes are made to see if I can just make a reg for to import in after driver update.

Every time I update my drivers for Nvidia I need to set up adaptive Vsync per game, and also run my HDMI RGB range tool to correct the stupid limited range they set in the NVC.

Even if you set it in NVC it doesn't correct it on the monitor properly.

Surprised they still haven't resolved this part.

I thought that my performance (ooooer matron) had been dropping off with each driver, and last night I started seeing the low frame rate warning in BF4. I'd never seen it before and seemed ridiculous with two 980s. So, I rolled back to 359 and bingo I'm back to full speed.

To test this I ran Firestrike with each version and scary results!

With 359 I get a score of 17k, with the 361 this drops to 11k. All other things were left constant.

I am amazed that the new drivers are SO much worse. To the point where I am unable to maintain playability.

GTX 780 Ti

353.62 - 13,109 gpu score
361.43 - 13,053 gpu score.

The score on the 353 driver is clocked higher though. It sounds more like something is broken in the SLI config on the newer driver. My scores and gameplay is about the same on different drivers

What windows are you on. I might do a test later to see if I get similar results going back to 359

Just tested SLI with 361.91 & Firestrike Ultra.

Going from 1 to 4 cards the graphics score scaled almost perfectly.

There seems to be something wrong with the SLI setup on your PC but I don't think it is the drivers.

I will need to check this out over the weekend too.:D

Which one did you run?
Firestrike 1.1 1080P 144 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10915341?
On my 4K http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10915148? big difference

2560x1440 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10915542? all these are on 361.91

To answer the questions it's two vanilla 980s in SLI on W10 64bit.
I am running the basic Firestrike that's free so I assume at 1080. But I was seeing the slowdown at native res of 1440

If the only thing I changed between runs was the driver ?

I've noticed the difference in performance too. Its a lot worse for me in most games, BF, BO3 and even FIFA 16.. which is a weird one as i've never had a problem with FIFA 16 in 4K since the day it came out.

Now i can't run it any higher than 40FPS where before i got a solid 60 (locked with rivatuner)

I hope this isn't Nvidia gimping drivers like what was seen happening on Kepler cards with new drivers so people would cave and buy the newer GPU's.

Anyone having problems with Nvidia Experience causing slow boot times?

I know one fix is to disable the shield streaming service, but it doesn't seem to fix it?

Hope this is somewhat appropriate to this thread but within the Nvidia "Drivers ;)" Is it possible to turn G-Sync off for an individual application? Was hoping I would be able to not run G-Sync in CSGO rather than having to turn it completely off/back on etc each time.

Yup. Just create a profile for the game and set the Monitor Technology option to 'Fixed Refresh'.
