**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

my msi 1070 works fine with the 372.70 (with the exception of one startup bug) and clocks down as it should when nothing happens. But i have seen this issue in other drivers and usually relates to a profile for a program that uses gpu acceleration. St

:cool:Isn't a new problem though, as a fair few previous drivers exhibited the exact same issue on my 970 with a fair few juggling of drivers being required with a lot of users in the thread reporting the same.:)

Generally people like to blame drivers when the reality is that their "stable overclocks" are anything but stable...

Er.... No.

Generally people like to blame overclocks when the reality is that drivers can be anything but stable running stock clocks.

:p

Apart from Fastsync previously constantly reverting to vysnc on and crazy G-Sync desktop tearing at times, most drivers have been generally solid, but when a newer driver causes your system to run 3d clocks on the desktop yet a roll back fixes it, then it's a driver introduced problem imo.:)

Flicker bug on desktop with 372.70 at 144hz, any fixes or have to use 120hz?

i have that bug too and i think its gsync related. Do you have a gsync panel by chance?. What works for me is switching to 120hz and then back to 144hz. Overall though this driver seems wonkey at best.. something off about it besides this bug. Havent had any crashes though. Not yet atleast.

You got corsair link installed by any chance as that what made my card run faster on idle.
