**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Exactly why i justified to myself to get the Titan. Fed up of dual card issues unless you are prepared to wait 6 months to play the latest releases and even then some never get fixed.

If I didn't already have Maxwell Titan SLI I'd probably just go for a single card. I'm fairly certain that one of my cards does nothing 95% of the time. Since I can still play everything at max bar one or two titles (3440x1440) I'll wait till the next Titan I think.

Prices for the ti are going to be obscene I suspect. I am also ditching my sli setup. Had sli running for 6 years but I am admitting defeat and moving onto a single 1080 this week. Sli support has nose dived over last 18 months and I find it is very hit and miss if it will play nice with gsync.

The ti will be priced so that both the 1080 and the Titan become a poor choice in comparison. Probably around £799 for a reference card.

Ummmmm it's telling me that it can't detect my hardware when installing the new driver??

I've removed my current ones with guru3ds driver uninstaller and manually downloaded the new ones, any advice?

I have a notebook 1070 if that makeany difference.

I didn't bother updating to the new ones I've reverted back to 375.70 as these work better with bf1 less frame drops etc. Not sure if that problem with persists with the new ones though.. obviously this is different for everybody (I have a 970)

I assumed the problem was the patch...I might roll back as well then. There are patches (smoke maybe) where my CPU frames are noticeably slower than GPU now and that never happened before

Correct mate it was ever since the patch, my mistake for not mentioning that. Sods law with the next bf1 patch the performance will be terrible with old drivers just you watch lol

Why is it that I have never been able to have a 215 mhz core clock on idle with this gtx 1070 using 144hz?

Is it a problem or a feature?

Are pascal cards unable to do it?

Mine drops down to 139MHz fine when idle Pascal is perfectly capable of doing it (2560x1440@144Hz and often 2 displays connected as well - think it runs about 300MHz with 2x high res/refresh displays connected but I only have the one connected at the moment so can't check).

Are you using Google chrome? If so, make sure the little try icon isn't enabled. A third party app like that can have your boost clock running.

Not using google chrome but I am using firefox. There is nothing in the gpu activity box either.

Only way to get the clock down is to lower the refresh rate to 120hz. It's been like that with every driver.
