**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Idle core clock still being too high at 144hz is a shame because it negates the heat saving brilliance of pascal chip. Runs 59c at 144hz and 37c at 120hz.

people with higher clocks not in games are you making sure to change power settings in NV control panel from optimal to adaptive?

Optimal seems to have come in not long ago and is causing people problems with clocks not ramping down. setting to adaptive seems to put it back to the way it used to work. had similar issue on a 980 in my second machine.

I always use adaptive but the problem still exists.

every driver is safe.. not had a problem since having my 970 now have a 1080..

Lol not every. I had a bad experience with one driver that put my computer into a boot loop. Was a right headache sorting it. I leap frogged that driver by about 3 releases later. But thats my only main issue ive had other than clocks staying in 3d mode. Fixed with changing performance settings.

ok ok lol maybe I should have phrased it better, is there any problems with this new driver? as I have read some horror stories online, some people seem to be having trouble and some don't? will battlefield 1 run better with this driver?
