**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

So im still having trouble with high idle clocks even after going back to drivers i know werent a problem, so figured id try the new drivers and it still happens. Weird thing ive accidentally discovered though is if i view a picture in windows viewer and close it the clocks go back to idle as normal....:confused::confused:

I have had the same issue for 18 months now, with a 970 and a now a 980ti.At desktop with 144hz i get a core clock of 963mhz,3506mhz mems with 31% power usage, even with the absolute bare minimum open from a fresh boot.

Its pretty annoying, not a single driver has fixed the issue, just given up and run 120hz on desktop.Just idling and the gpu sipping a 100w just isnt worth it for the extra 24hz

G-sync doesn't seem to work with fullscreen mode in BF1, even with the latest. Borderless fullscreen still works fortunately.

really? I play in full screen and last time I played it (around a week ago) I hit the fps counter on my monitor to check gsync and it was fluctuating up and down like it was working? I only tried it because I had a slight stutter but yeah, seemed to be working then if my monitor herts counter is anything to go by

So glad I dropped the dual cards and went with one Titan over two 1080s. Sli and xfire just leads to disappointment.

You know that!

I can't see me going mGPU again unless they bring in something that eliminates microstutter.

Also good to see Nvidia still supporting 3D. Not used mine since I got the Rift but it was great when I did use it.

The last time I tried installing new drivers, windows automatically started reinstalled older drivers after I DDU'd and rebooted. The only way I could stop this happening again was to disable Windows Update in Services but I never had this problem untill now and its a pita.
