**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

451.22 (same with 450.99) still causes severe stuttering when a game is running on one screen and a video on another for both the video and game, or even dragging windows around.

Installed 446.14 over the top again and all issues went away. Better not be like this for its final release :(. In all the years of upgrading to every version of windows since XP and pretty much every beta/official nvidia driver releases since the 8800 GTX over many generations of nvidia cards I've never seen a stuttering issue like this before.

Something is really wrong with these WDDM 2.7 drivers on nvidia with multiple displays in Windows 10 2004, they aren't playing nicely together at all. Both screens are 60hz but one 4k and the other 1080p.

On the Nvidia forums there is a dedicated thread. Post in there if you want it to reach Nvidia's ears.

Posted in there about a week ago about the 450.99 one and mentioned yesterday 451.22 is causing the same issue. Still hoping this gets ironed out before the driver is officialy released as I can't stay on 446.14 forever. There are others there with similar sort of issues on 2004 with these WDDM 2.7 drivers so hopefully they figure out the cause of it.

If it's a big enough problem they will fix it, if it's only effecting a very small percentage of users then they might just park it and call it a 'known issue'.

Your best option is to post on the GURU3D forums and tag " MANUALG "

Have posted on there, will see if he replies. Not a great video but gives an idea of the stuttering on the WDDM 2.7 drivers. Didn't reboot between the installs during the video as the stuttering issue is the same anyway.

Hmm

You're using The Division 2 to exhibit these issues. Have you tried other games?

I say that because The Division 2 is a clusterduck with Nvidia hardware. I thought it was my ram for ages being unstable, but in reality DX12 on the game is broken and switching to DX11 fixed my issues.

A) Try a different game
B) Try DX11 in The Division 2

DX11 is smooth in The Division 2. Just a shame about the much lower performance but stability is more important in DX11 vs the random crashes you can get in DX12.

How they've never fixed this I'll never know.

Same here, just over the top and never had an issue. Whats the point in a clean install when you are just replacing the same files again. Only time I would clean install is if I had an issue with previous drivers.
Same, just install over the top and haven't had a problem in years and years. I've never understood why people do all the DDU/clean install/safe mode crap. Just asking for trouble if you ask me.

...because they're the same people that say GeForce Experience is toilet roll and spying on you.

It adds a lot of background tasks and functions that I have no use for while increasing the potential security vulnerability of my system - about the only thing I have a use for is Shadow Play and I certainly don't need the rest with it. I don't believe 3rd party telemetry, etc. should be encouraged either as the more it is permitted the more companies will push the boundaries of what is acceptable with it along with the potential for abuse or data breaches, etc.

I have a question, if I previously installed the standard drivers and not DCH, for any new releases am I then able to install DCH to update or do I have to keep downloading standard?

Must be honest I installed standard without really understanding why and it feels like I am swimming upstream for no reason

^^Not always the same people, I always choose to not install Geforce Experience if I get a choice, but I rarely do a clean install. My approach is always grab the latest drivers as soon as I am aware of them, install over the top of old drivers but with custom installation so I can deselect Geforce Experience. Until fairly recently I also used to untick the Audio driver. Uninstall / DDU etc I just reserve for if I have some sort of problem.

Hello I've not been here for sometime so go gentle ;)
I've just popped in a new graphics card and ran a clean install for the drivers. Now the edge browser is just a black screen. Everything is working apart from the browser problem.

I have removed Edge and done the nvidia driver as well. I have searched on the interweb and just come up with nothing the same as my problem.

Is this the right room ? Soory if its wrong

Lenny

I always end up formatting when I replace a component in my system, its so quick these days you can get it done without much hassle and saves having to look into your problem further. A suggestion more than anything

I'd give DDU a go.
