**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Where is GPU/display scaling options in the Nvidia app? I cannot find it anywhere. I got a game where normal 1440p isn't available and normally I've been able to get around this by letting the GPU handle the scaling instead of the display. I remember using this option back when nvidia had the old Nvidia control panel.

Nvidia control panel.

It still does, AFAIA they have not removed it, as all the functionality has not been duplicated in the app yet. You should still find this option in the CP.

Had a nVidia app update, latest DLSS transformer model preset is now used if you're using the DLSS Override - Super Resolution for a game.

I have noted this before, but has anyone used the Nvidia app and ran the performance tuning part..? I have reported this to Nvidia, still seems the same. It takes ages to run and when does it sets the values that typically appear to reset at some point....

so, run it again, same values noted it seems, and it is fine..........for a while.

It definitely needs work, I don't know if it's just because I'm using a 5-series card and it needs an update, but when I reboot my machine, it doesn't reapply the core overclock, only the memory overclock.

I've just turned it off for now and if I feel the need to overclock/undervolt, I'll just grab MSI Afterburner.

It was more of being curious about if forgetting the settings and not retaining them, more so that wanting to overclock the GPU.
I am happy enough how my system performs.

I might be tempted to go back and use the overlay from AB along with RT and HWiNFO as it is more granular and detailed anyway, also no longer bother about the performance settings.

something goes on a s well when optimising games. Cities Skylines 2 can no longer be optimised, unable to retrieve settings when it had done so previously. It does seem hit and miss.

I've also had an issue with it where it won't cancel and keeps running indefinitely where the only way to sort it is to reinstall the driver.

I have sent feedback, again, this has been done several times now, but I have now disabled the overlay and turned off the tuning. There still seems to be much to do and resolve with this app, from my use.

As with the two previous drivers, I got a black screen halfway through installing. I left it running for another 10 minutes, but had the monitor display the 'no signal' message. I forced a reboot and new driver showing as installed in Geforce Experience. Not really sure what is causing this and know i'm not the only person this is repeatably happening to.

I had this update today as well when opening the app, it’s using preset K now automatically when selecting override in the app.

This has happened to me also

Had this a few drivers ago, can't remember which one did it, but since then I've installed over the top as usual, and it hasn't done it since. This strange bug has only happened twice since the 4090 launched. Forcing a restart with the motherboard restart button the driver shows as installed and working just fine once back in Windows.
