**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Anyone ever added an .exe to the Nvidia app manually but it didn't show any settings? The page is just blank with a bit of text saying something about Optimization is not supported. Er, yeah, but I need to change driver settings for this game. I wish I could completely opt out of all this optimize crap.

4090 here, never had any driver issue's, also always install over the drivers also. What are these people doing to their systems?

Considering it's a NVIDIA issue, nothing. Stupid thing to say really.

What's the point of any drivers with bug fixes and optimizations, if they are as flawless as you claim? :(

No issues with my 4070Ti. Everyone should have got one of those.. :p:cry:
I have a 4070 Ti Super and have had constant instability over the past few months until reverting to 566.36. Nothing else I tried did anything to solve it, from removing my undervolt to purging everything with DDU and starting fresh.

I've never had a GPU die on me, so that obviously means GPUs can't die. Silly reasoning. I've also never had incessant, unsolvable driver issues like this before, so I'm leaning towards it not being something I've caused. Especially when lots of other people are having the same problems and Nvidia keep throwing out ineffective hotfixes aimed at solving said problems.

Well I've gone back to the most stable of drivers I've used since FEB

572.61 from Nvidia CUDA Toolkit site

But you'll need to use NVslimmer just to install only the graphics driver, physx etc

Should've just stayed on these

I had issues with Avowed on battle.net via game pass. It wasn't auto detected by the nvidia app and when I added it manually it mentioned settings not being supported. I ended up just not playing the game yet since I've still got a load of other games to play, lol.

Avowed still doesn't show for me either (installed free through battlenet, not xbox game pass), but I think that might be because nvidia haven't created an optimised settings profile for it yet, as was the originally for GTA V Enhanced Edition originally. nvidia profile inspector does successfully swap the dlss version though. I too haven't really played it though, finally going through Witcher 3 instead have any

My 5090 has arrived , yippee . So i have AMD drivers installed and the last time I changed from red to green i used Drived Sweeper.

Anything I need to be aware of ?
Latest drivers from Nvidia ok?

Hopefully you’ll be fine but if you have any issues, follow this guide here:

In short, download DDU + latest drivers, disconnect internet, boot into safe mode, run DDU ‘new graphics card version’ w/ shut down, boot as normal, install new drivers, restart.

Same question in my mind this week. Was just planning to use the uninstall feature, I’ve heard it works fine these days?

After being on the latest driver (572.83) for a month I've had 0 issues with crashes or hitches with my 3070. The 'Power Management Mode' is still reverting back to Normal (I read changing to 'Prefer Max Performance' helped with crashes) so that needs changing every boot but apart from that it's night and day compared to a couple of months ago with the early 5xxx series drivers.

I'm using the 572.61 from Nvidia CUDA Toolkit site. Played Warzone, DayZ lots of games no issues!

Vulkan drivers worked in games, but wouldn't let me change graphics options in Nvidia control Panel
Latest officials kept on crashing directX in Warzone, and even had the odd black screen.

I can see why some game devs are avoiding the very latest for now

New 576.02 driver out but I dont see it myself on Nvidia's website..

Huuge list of fixes too

First time Nvidia gpu owner here, I haven’t downloaded the Nvidia app and don’t think that I will so am having to download drivers from their website, I take it that it’s ok to install them without removing previous drivers?
