**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I just installed them using the GeForce Experience, and it was a bad experience, screen went black as it does when new drivers are installed but it hung for so long my monitor turned off, friends on Mumble said I dropped from Mumble, so it was like my PC restarted except I had none of the "I just turned my PC on" stuff going on, so I hard reset.

Windows shows the drivers are installed though. Now it's just a waiting game.

My 780 temps are still the same, no difference either way.

Can anyone confirm if these drivers still have the random PC lock in Windows when browsing the internet using Firefox? No mention in the PDF release notes, but it was a commonly reported issue. Currently using 314.22, as these were the last official drivers which didn't have the issue.

Edit: Ah I think Niel79 answered the question, assuming my above issue is the same as the 'freeze up' issue.

If you're not having any issues with 320.18, is there any point in updating to these?

I hate updating drivers, I always get paranoid that it will bugger something up. Can't blame myself really, given nvidia's recent track record.

I just had issues installing/reinstalling/driver whiping you name it. finally restored SSD from a back up image and reset bios to default..now using 314.22 and unless they give me issues with skype like they used to then 310.90 , but i wont touch any of the 320s i've been burned by them too much now

I have big problems. My GTX760 arrived today - and the only supported drivers are these. But as soon as I install them all hell breaks loose - I get explorer crashes, driver recovery errors, desktop keeps disappearing, crashes with white screen, monitor going to sleep and won't wake up, the lot.

Not sure whether to DSR the card and drop down to something like an HD7870.

will test tonight if they sort my crysis 3 black screening........hope it does, as I cant really play the game until its fixed :(

I've been up since 6am fighting with these. I find the problems happen less often when using DVI over DP, but there's no way to correct them. The betas do the same thing.

I can't see a way to fix this, i'm just going to return the card and keep my 7850, it's never missed a beat in the past 12 months.
