**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Strange really, how some don't have issues with nvidia drivers and some do.

This happened with Nvidia some time back with a fan issue, some people had their nvidia fan stopped working, some didn't work propely and others worked fine. All through a Nvidia update

GeForce 320.49 Driver BETA is on the main Nvidia website now, seems a WHQL might be added over the next couple of days. Hopefully that will fix the weird problems people are getting. Until then it may be worth sticking with 314.22..

WHQL is just a microsoft stamp of approval, there is every chance the same issue will show up

Installed 320.49 for my GTX660 and my power consumption and temperatures have both dropped ever so slightly.

Not done any benchmarks.

Tried the 320.49's, noticed my GPU power shot up to 61 at idle from 11 with the 314.22's. These 320.xx series of drivers are a bit of a mess (for me). Reverted back to the 314's.

Runs like a slideshow (tested with Unigine Valley) here, Win 7 x64 with KFA2 770 EX OC 2048MB. Had to go back to 320.18.

My spidey senses are tingling,

I saw it mentioned somewhere (can't find it now) that it should also support 7, plus some others apparently did install it on 7 without any issues, at least in games. Didn't try any games though. Besides that, the installer doesn't complain about the environment either.

It supports Vista, 7 and 8 but AFAIK these are just for the windows update repository I'd wait for the proper GeForce R325 releases.

edit. seems like all the drivers popping up everywhere are dodgy atm.

i'll wait.

:)
