**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

These (388.00) killed my performance in Titianfall 2 yet again when ever it gets busy of I ADS, big drops from the 90's to the 30-40s, back to 385.69 again which are in the high 70s to 80's when it gets busy.

I flashed Bios back to stock EVGA bios and all past 3 drivers including this one installed 1st time without any hitches, then I ran DDU and threw the Titan XM in the bin and swapped to a 1080Ti and installed this driver all is good. :D

Windows should be faster than ever with games like Skyrim (DX9 titles with heavy texture data requirements).

If there is perf degradation it has to be an Nvidia issue. Perhaps they have their own workarounds in place that have now been fixed in DirectX (W10/1709 Fixed an artifical VRAM allocation lock that has been present for a while). Thus there is some conflict there.

This has been my first bad experience with the Nvidia drivers so far. I had 3 lockups indicating my overclock is not stable which I simply do not believe and a blue screen. Going to roll back and test.

You can't blame the drivers. :)

Your overclock was just unstable. And finally something tipped it over the edge. It's the nature of the game.

I have been doing this long enough to know :)

Reason why I know its driver related is that

1. it never happened before.
2. I downclocked the gfx and it still done it.

Too much of a coincidence since driver update however if it isnt then new gfx time.

Just updated to the latest drivers and I'm getting horrific screen tearing in RUST. (Unity engine).

Never ever had screen tearing in RUST before now. It's terrible. Like a slow band of tearing moves up the screen constantly. Pretty much unplayable. There is no Vsync option for rust (even in consol) so this is a problem.

I can help it by force locking the frame rate, but 60 doesn't help, I need to lock it way down at 45 before it gets rid of it completely. And I don't want to play at 45fps

Definitely related to this driver.
