**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Has the Nvidia App overlay stopped displaying GPU temperatures for anyone else? I was helping a mate sort out his fan speeds the other day and figured the overlay would be the easiest way for him to monitor GPU temps in-game, but it's not displaying anything except performance data for both him on a 5080 and me on a 3060Ti. I'm sure it used to have GPU temperature as an option, did I imagine it?

Nothing there for me, but my GPU-Z seems to be broken, not sure if anyone else experienced this. I’m on latest drivers on 5090 and my pixel and texture fill rates are half of what should be reported. All ROPs are there and benchmarks are in line with the averages so either GPU-Z needs an update or some software/driver in my system is messing with GPU-Z.

Well i posted in the general hardware section..im sure mine is the graphics card driver, not 100%
My mouse freezes, screen goes black then pc recovers with screen back on.

The only fixes we seem to get these days is for the 5000 series. The amount of fixes that generation has needed and still needs is insane. How many A4 pages of bug fixes in just a few months?, I've lost count

Can't wait for more open issues to be added as they've inevitably broken more stuff.

think this is the 7th or 8th hotfix

Well they haven't listed any known issues, so fingers crossed.
I will keep on the old 573.11 as not yet had an issue (early days) but if the 576.40 get good reports after a while I may well install them.

Well, I nearly fell out of my chair installing this new driver when during the installation the screen image actually came back after the black screen! I cannot remember when I didn't have to do a hard reset/shutdown during an Nvidia driver install. Just like the good ol' days.

NVIDIA note a game specific Issue with DOOM: The Dark Ages and this driver along with workarounds. NVIDIA are working to resolve them in an upcoming driver release.
  • Issue: If you are playing on a GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU and enable G-sync (supported display required) or V-SYNC plus DLSS Multi Frame Generation through the NVIDIA App you can crash the game.
  • Resolution: Until there is a driver fix available, the workaround for this issue is to either disable one of these options in the NVIDIA App or if you want both enabled, set them in-game.
and
  • Issue: Users with NVIDIA GPUs may find that Alt-Tabbing while launching DOOM: The Dark Ages can cause the game to launch in the background and not be accessible.
  • Resolution: This is a known driver issue. Until a fix is available in a driver update, to avert this issue, avoid Alt-Tabbing while the game is launching. If encountered, it can be resolved by restarting your PC.

Zero issues on my 5080 FE so far outside of one black screen during a driver install that was easily addressed.

Pretty sure Neil has had more issues than me and he's on a 4080 Super

To be honest not many!

Black screen same as you, and one crash in either DayZ or Warzone, which stopped after upgrading drivers.
